It's about time they changed her. I almost got bored waiting for it. It didn't take this long in the original Colombian version of "Betty la Fea". And whats with the comment of "maybe it will only refer to how she acts inside."? In the sitcom she is a sweet young girl with her heart in the right place. So she's a little akward but thats what gives her charm. Anyway it seems like the writter didn't have anything else to turn in but a retarded opinion to spark comments?

Instead of progressing ugly betty is regressing. She should be updating her looks not getting better is making her look stupid/ She does work in fashion if she cant gget better by looking around then what the hec!!

I lOVE THE SHOW! I don't think Betty is "ugly" in any way. It is time, however, that they change her looks, but she needs to stay the caring & loving character that she is already.

So many of the comments are correct.
Ugly Betty is not Ugly at all in any way.
It proves how our society had got to where you must be very small. No buldges any where. But then ask how ever you want to. But Ugly Bettty is pretty inside and outside. If we would look on the inside of a person first by getting to know them - we could see the true beauty.
I love her show more than all the sex shows, etc.

I have been waiting for the change in the character of Betty Suarez. She has grown in so many other ways it doesn't make sense for her to still be in braces for all this time. Also it doesn't make sense that she can work in the business and not realize the huge fashion mistakes she is making. She can wear color, but she should have learned how by now, especially with a friend in the closet. It would be great if Stacy and Clinton from "What Not to Wear" were to give Betty Suarez a makeover, which would allow for the money it would take to have the change happen. It was more distracting from the story to have her not pick up on how poorly she expresses herself in her fashion.

this is nothing new. as everyone should know that this sitcom is based on an old spanish soap opera, betty ends up getting her makeover and looking beautiful around the clock.

They might be going down the route of the original Spanish language version of the show. It may spoil it Ugly Betty for you but check out Betty La Fea if you can find it in reruns on some Spanish language channels. It is quite funny and if even if you dont speak the language you should make out most of what is going on.
