As it turns out, Joseph really is a bitch.
So last night we had the big resolution of the Ramsay/Joseph confrontation. Kind of an anti-climax, really, though. Fans who thought that Joseph would stay around in some way might be disappointed.
But is this show getting too crazy, too predictable, too "reality show-ish?" I don't want to see swearing and yelling just to have some swearing and yelling, and most of these cooks just seem too immature. I'm actually thinking about not watching it anymore. Next week is going to have to impress me.

I wonder if Joseph intended all along to get in Ramsay's face. One would believed that Joseph watched the show before and knows that you should never talk back to Ramsay or you will find yourself in trouble and may get sent home. The question Ramsay asked Joseph was so simple and instead Joseph decided to defy the Chef in the second week... Joseph may have lived a few more hours on the show if he had done this week 10 and showed that he was a great chef up until that point.
I agree with you that the chefs are immature and not really impressive this time around. It can only get better as those immature chefs will surely start to go home, leaving the good ones.

I agree Bob! I have definitely decided not to watch this 'season'.
There's something different about the show, and I think you've nailed it on the head. It's all about the screaming and yelling and fighting and not about the cooking.
I love Gordon Ramsey, but this Hell's Kitchen just isn't the same anymore.
I'll drop this and just stick with 'The Next Food Network Star' and 'Top Chef'.

I have to agree with everyone. There's something off here. It's almost as if they picked the worst possible chefs just so Ramsay could have even bigger screaming fits and next week Robert looks like he's going postal. This is a crappy group of cooks (none of them are worthy of being called a chef).

It's awful to say, but I watched about two minutes of this show last night on *mute*, and just from looks alone of these contestants, none of them look like chefs, full stop. Maybe that's a bit superficial, but on a reality show, these people need to look the part.
Now after reading this entry, I'll definitely stop DVRing it to watch later. The shouting is enjoyable, but I want to see Gordon work with actual good chefs who have half a clue. It's not fun to watch a crew that can't even put together a souffle.

I wouldn't be surprised if Fox just hired Joseph to pull that stunt.
Also, the show is more concerned with making sure each shot is at least a 1/2 second long full of sound effects taking things out of context... oh and bleeping. Cooking and working at a restaurant is not important. My wife watches it and I can't stand it, lol.

yep it's gotten to be more silly each time I watch.
But I can't help myself, like watching a train wreck, I can't look away.
Toldyaso re: firefighters on scene.
What's with Robert? why's he even still there? It is obvious either the producer wants him to screw up on purpose because it's the beginning and everyone does then, or he hasn't worked in a kitchen since the last Hells Kitchen. Either way, I'm not finding it entertaining, just dumb.
Looks like the blue team all need some vitamin supplements to prevent further injury. Geez how many of them are going to be walking wounded before the show's over?
Funny, how the red team conveniently won going to a spa to be pampered. And went in a helicopter (if the blue team had done that, Robert would have had to stay home again.) Seems like the decision over who would win was predetermined...
Joseph must've been a plant... or he stopped taking his ADHD meds and someone gave him skittles. Like I mentioned after last week's episode , Everyone signs a contract barring them from any negative physical contact with any other member of the show.(it was mentioned in one of the prior years when an incident similar to this happened.) I can't imagine Joseph working in any type of kitchen environment, much less a high cuisine eating establishment such as the prize being offered. What stations did they place him at since the show began? That might tell us more about whether or not he was a FPX plant or just a really maladjusted cook.

Yeah, I was actually kind of hoping that the firefighters were there because the restaurant was really on fire. Can't wait for the new season of "Top Chef"!

Personally, I think the editing is really hurting it. It's not so good and just not 'snappy' like it used to be.
The show is getting very predictable. And so shallow. And so not watch worthy.
Does someone want out of their contract?

Looking forward to seeing the show head to Whistler. The Canadian coast is a culinary hotbed, what with the Pacific to the west and the fertile Okanagan just to the east.
The brewpubs in the prairies are making noise as well due to their fresh grains: http://www.youtube.com/canadiantourism#play/uploads/8/FwKno4r1C3k
