It's hard to believe the live-action-meets-puppeteering sci-fi series Farscape is a decade old, but that's the occasion that brought Brian Henson and stars of the show to Comic-Con International Friday to announce a new complete series DVD set.As unveiled to a full, if partially groggy Comic-Con crowd during one of the day's first events, the DVD collection will include every episode of the show, more than 90 minutes of extra footage and 29 episode commentaries.
Henson joined series creator Rockne O'Bannon with stars Ben Browder and Claudia Black to unveil the comprehensive set of the show Henson repeatedly referred to during the panel as "psychotically ambitious" because of its mix of live-action, muppet technology, and then-state-of-the-art visual effects.
The Farscape panel also offered Henson a chance to buzz the muppet-friendly crowd on a couple of other franchises hitting the big screen in 2011.
The project with the TV pedigree (since this is TV Squad) is Fraggle Rock. Henson didn't go into details after the roof blew off the joint, but he assured the crowd it was on schedule. The Power of The Dark Crystal (a follow-up to the dark 1980s muppet fantasy project) will accompany the Fraggles into theaters in a couple of years.
Before wrapping up, Henson and O'Bannon got back to the subject at hand for the panel and revealed that webisodes were in the works to keep Farscape fresh for fans in the future.

I think the 10th anniversary tshirts were only on sale in limited numbers for a short time.
I assume everyone who ordered one got it because they wanted it and want to keep it, so I wouldn't hold out much hope of getting one now.

You can pre-order your Farscape DVD Megaset at dhpdvd.com. Use code name "scapers" to get a 10% off the sale price of $109.89 — which comes to $98.90. Now that’s SUBSTANTIALLY less than what each season set used to cost back when they were first released. Considering that both the original releases and the Starburst releases are now out of print, this is the best way for new fans to get their own set. (I mean, you could search through eBay looking for used sets, too, but it will take a lot of your time to put together all four seasons worth of DVDs.)
And remember, this Megaset will have ALL the commentaries that the original sets had, plus the re-released Starburst set, AND…..they will also have the "Farscape Undressed" feature, which has never been available in North America.
Offer is good until August 31.
