Oh, my. This is just like Christmas! Christmas in July. It's been revealed that Flight of the Conchords will have a new album coming out from Sub Pop Records, featuring music from the second season of their HBO series. It's called "I Told You I Was Freaky." Despite the fact that season two didn't pack quite the bite that the first did, we're getting "Carol Brown" and "Too Many Dicks (On the Dance Floor)," and that's all that really matters.
I have their first album from the show, and I highly, highly recommend it. Not everything sounds the way it did on the show, but all in all, these changes were for the better. For example, "Ladies of the World" somehow sounded a little catchier in the album version, complete with some sweet, airy vocalizing in the very end. Hopefully, this holds the same with the new album.
The deceptively quiet cover art is a nice touch, and the tracklisting looks pretty solid, including the songs that weren't available on iTunes after their respective episodes aired. Real sneaky move, boys.
Until the album is released on October 20, enjoy this video of "Sugar Lumps." Learn the words, create a dance, get a little freaky, do what you gotta do.

I guess there's something wrong with me 'coz I simply like "Hurt Feelings" the most of all the songs of season 2 ;-)
