As I've mentioned here before a few times, I'm a fan of Wipeout. It's silly and pretty much boils down to people getting hit by something and falling down into water or mud, but I'm a guy and sometimes I want to watch a show where somebody gets hit by something and falls into water or mud. A lot of other people like the summer show too, and now ABC has announced that the show has been renewed for a third season.
I'd like to renew my call for a celebrity version of Wipeout. I think it would be funny to see celebs get wet and knocked around. Note to producers: reality show stars are not celebrities. Though it would be satisfying to see some Survivor or Big Brother cast-off whack their face on the edge of a platform. No, no, no. I take that back. Having reality show stars on would just give the show a sad air and kill our enjoyment.

ABC cancels Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money, Men in Trees, Boston Legal and Samatha Who...
...and renews Wipeout.
No one has a problem with that?

I'm a fan of John Henson but get rid of the two main commentators and this show becomes about 300 times better.

I love it when Jill gets tickled by some of the hard knocks.

While I like the funny mishaps these contestants endure, I can't help but think it IS set up just to see them fail.
Why else have them run through water and expect them to run up a vinal surface without a tumble? That's like a slip-and-slide on an angle. Or to get really muddy before they are supposed to jump from more vinal covered objects to the next?
At least on Ninja Warrior there is skill involved. If you mess up there, it's not because everything was padded down and you have a lifejacket on because there is a fear of lawsuits.
