I'm not sure what "addicted to" really means. If I love a show and never miss an episode, does that mean I'm "addicted?" Or do I have to have some sort of sadness/emotional withdrawal if I miss an episode, or some sort of chemical reaction in my body that forces me to watch the show every week? I'm not sure, but according to a survey of 3000 TV fans by LOVEFiLM, the most addictive show is 24.

7. CSI
8. Prison Break
9. The Sopranos
10. Sex and The City
Since five of the top ten shows are no longer on the air, I'm assuming that this means the survey took into account all shows, not just current ones. Which makes the poll a little bogus, in my opinion. Prison Break one of the most addictive shows of all-time? Yeah OK.

First off it's "Doctor Who", not "Dr. Who", but besides that, I'm probably most addicted to Burn Notice.
24 used to be up there, but now it sits on my DVR a couple of days before I watch it... probably because season 7 was the first time I actually watched it as it aired. 24 is much better on DVD when you can watch them all in a row. It loses it's edge when you sit around for a week waiting for the next episode.

1. Damages
2. Arrested Development
3. Lost
There's some better shows, but I don't find it nearly as appealing to just let em' go. Six Feet Under, The Shield, Deadwood are some examples IMO.

I think people chose 24 as addictive becuase they don't want to say that it's a good show, they watch it because it's addictive.

I swore it off after season 4. I thought I couldn't do it anymore. And guess what happened when season 5 came around? I caved. I think that's why people are still putting up with it. We just can't stop.
Also I think when you're compelled to watch bootleg internet versions of a show because you can't rent it fast enough from netflix constitutes an addiction. That's what I'm doing with Farscape as we speak.

Right now, I'm gonna go for a mix of current and classic - I'd think watching a show for decades counts as "addicted".
1) Doctor Who - all of it, not just the Eccleston & Tennant series.
2) Torchwood
3) Burn Notice
4) Chuck
5) Monty Python's Flying Circus - and pretty much anything any of the cast has done since.

1. Lost - Without a doubt the most addictive thing I have ever watched. I can't believe 10 months from now it will be gone forever.
2. Mad Men - Can't go without watching what is happening to Don Draper or the rest of Sterling Cooper. Rewatching the seasons right now awaiting Season 3.
