Big Brother 11: Power of Veto #2

Ronnie thinks he's the supreme gamer in the Big Brother 11 house

(S11E06) In the Big Brother 11 house, Ronnie is the boy who thought he would be king. He's the supreme gamer. He's the debate champion. He is the mega-fan who can recite the order of every eliminated house guest on the show throughout the seasons. He's in the brains clique. It's like this guy should have been declared the winner the first night and spared us the summer. I mean, no one in his shoes can screw this all to heck and back ... can they?

Well, Ronnie sure did. Let's take a memory walk of his actions:

  • He made a deal with Jeff, Casey, Laura, and Jordan to vote out Chima last week.
  • He changed his vote to Braden, forcing Jessie to decide the tiebreaker. Jessie voted out Braden.
  • Ronnie won head of household last week.
  • He lies to everyone and expounds upon his lies as they're some sort of huge master plan of his.
  • Not one person in the house doesn't see through his lies.
  • He plays both sides of the house, assuring each his loyalty.
  • He causes unrest and further division within the house.
  • He idolizes Jessie like a puppy dog with his beloved owner.
  • He put two members of his own (allegedly) alliance on the block.
  • He told us in the privacy of the diary room that he wants Russell to leave this week. Is there hope for him after all?

Nope. Tonight's power of veto comp was something new and different. It was something you'd think a boy genius who thinks he can wear his big boy pants should be able to win. The PoV players -- Natalie, Russell, Casey, Ronnie, Jeff, and Jordan -- were rained with pennies from heaven, or a reasonable facsimile thereof. BB told them to gather certain dollar amounts of coins within a set time. Ronnie was the first one out, gathering more than $400 over on direction to get $100 of quarters.

In the end, Jeff won the competition, thus opening the door for the Russell back door plan. Jeff is no dummy. I don't think he's studied the game like Ronnie has. But that could be a good thing, right? Jeff is unlikely to pull a Marcellas and not save himself.

Jeff played his part well. At the veto meeting, he saved his own butt in the game. Perfect! Now Ronnie can replace Jeff for eviction with ... Jordan. Say what? Jordan? That sweet gal who can't tell time when someone tells her it's a quarter to an hour? That pleasant girl who doesn't have a mean bone in her body? That attractive girl who seems to have the start of a romance with Jeff? Wasn't there a backdoor Russell plan?

Why, oh why? Ronnie claims it's because he wants Laura out and there wouldn't be the numbers for a Russell backdoor this week. Um. I think it's something else. I think Ronnie thinks that Laura sees through him because she was the first to call him out and hasn't hedged. I think Ronnie is scared of the athletes, yet wants to cling to them for protection. He's like the kid who couldn't make the sports team but gets a position as manager so he can clean up their dirty towels. Your thoughts?

Who will be evicted this week?
