TV Squad Blogger: Mike Moody

Mike MoodyWhere do you write from?
From South Texas, where I get to witness the expansion of border drug cartels first-hand.

Craziest/funniest TV Squad comment you've seen?
I love the ones that consist of nothing but a URL for some dude's competing TV blog. (My apologies to PercysLipstickJungleAddiction.blogspot.com).

If you were only able to watch one TV show, what would it be?
It's a toss-up between Northern Exposure, Gilmore Girls, Buffy the Vampire Slayer or (the newer) Battlestar Galactica.

Ooh, I forgot about Lost. I imagine you could go back to those episodes over and over again to peel back the layers and discover all the hidden clues and subtext and dual meanings of the flashbacks and frakkin' drive yourself nuts until you want to pummel the TV with your bare knuckles and ask God why the hell it all doesn't all add up in the end!

Most overrated and underrated TV show (current or past)?
Overrated: Family Guy. Or Sports Night. I'm sorry, but that crap is dull. I know, I know, I'm a philistine.

Underrated: Relativity, the short-lived drama from Edward Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz, producers of thirtysomething and My So-Called Life. And You Don't Know Jack, the sorta fake game show with Paul Reubens.

Best benefit of writing for TV Squad?

I get paid for being a nerd and for watching TV. Plus, the checks help pay for my outrageous cable/Internet bill.

Where else can we see you on the web?
Currently, I write a TV column and other nerdy content for SciFiSquad.com. I also write for other sites, but you can always find me at moodyblog.net, facebook.com/memoody, or twitter.com/mikemoody. Thanks for playing!
