It looks like The Brady Bunch is going to have to replace Jan again. Eve Plumb is holding out from appearing on a reunion for The Oprah Winfrey Show in September due to a disagreement with fellow Brady alum Maureen McCormick. Apparently during a book tour, McCormick "confessed" in jest to a lesbian affair between the two of them that didn't actually happen.The lesbian concept sounds like something out of Not The Bradys (warning: link NSFW). Of course, all Brady fanatics remember how Eve Plumb opted not to appear in the variety show Hell that was The Brady Bunch Hour from 1976 to 1977. I wonder if they'll get Geri Reischl to replace her for Oprah.
I wonder if Eve Plumb did, in fact, get upset by McCormick's comments and if so, why? If it were me, I would have said McCormick was kidding and taken it in stride. Maybe she's holding out for more money from Ms. Winfrey?

Actually, Eve Plumb never stated why she's holding out. It's actually Maureen McCormick who claims that her statement about the lesbian affair is one of the reasons. However, three years ago when McCormick made the statement, she did not frame it as a joke, but as truth. Shortly thereafter she retracted it. Now, she's retconning it into a joke.
I realize in your conclusion you state no one knows the reason why Plumb isn't in for Oprah. But, you might want to indicate in your intro who the source is i.e. McCormick. On a side note, McCormick admits that she hasn't actually had contact with Plumb and Plumb's agent states in the article that they had not heard from O.
Another possible reason for the Plumb hold out is that she's working as an artist now and in the past McCormick stated that Plumb had distanced herself from the Brady's.

This is about her and not about Eve.
It's obvious Maureen is still recovering from something.

No, I definitely believe it's Eve. Like Tina Louise with "Gilligan's Island," she's always had a problem with people continuing to associate her with "Brady" and just wants to put it behind her. I remember years ago when she agreed to appear on another talk show (possibly Donahue) with the cast and she was really unpleasant about it, barely answering audience questions and just having a general stank attitude the entire time they were on there. So no, I'm not surprised that she's holding out doing another reunion now.

I find it hard to believe that anyone still cares about this old sitcom. It wasn't all that great when it was first-run. The acting, the jokes, the writing.... all was less than B-caliber.
