Breaking News: Betty White still not dead
I was watching Today's coverage of the Michael Jackson funeral yesterday, and after Michael Okwu's report about memorial preparation, I had to quickly rewind it (thank you DVRs) to make sure I heard what I thought I did. And I did. Okwu was listing some of the famous people buried at Forest Lawn, and he included Betty White. Meredith Vieira corrected a clearly confused Okwu, saying he probably meant Bette Davis.

Yeah, I caught this live. I immediately googled Betty White to confirm that I hadn't heard about her dying. It was good that Meredith corrected him on it.

I didn't watch the coverage, but I'm glad to know Betty White is still not dead. I'm not ready to lose another Golden Girl. :-)

I am EXTREMELY happy that Betty White is not dead, however, this reporter is a blithering idiot! This is the same reporter that on the day that Michael Jackson died, he stated this wonderful gem: "This will never happen again; Michael Jackson will only die once". Seriously??? Please make informed statements and please don't try to "wing it" again.
