This is another one of those summer shows I didn't know was coming up until I started seeing ads a few days ago. The Great American Road Trip is NBC's new reality show that sends seven families cross-country, where they engage in various challenges against each other for fame and fortune. Or maybe just fortune.
This could actually be a fun show, sort of The Amazing Race meets Family Double Dare. You know there's going to be families to hate and families to love. Maybe they'll have a challenge where they tie a dog to the bumper and have to keep him alive on the drive to the next state. It starts July 7.
The great american road trip was awesome. Reno Colliere is one of the great american comedians. It had the feel of National Lampoon's Vacation. 5 stars
Amie Pollard already stated that she made it all the way to at least the next to the last stop on her radio station as a call-in way back on June 4th....Talked all about the St. Louis Arch, Branson and meeting Andy Williams, Buffalo burgers/Little House on the Prairie, stopping in Albuquerque, going to the Grand Canyon, and ending up in Las Vegas. She at least goes most of the way through if not all....oh great we get to watch queen "b" girl, which I guess is what NBC would absolutely want for the drama....great person to pick to represent the south....big time not representing fully who she or her family is.... maybe I will post it all as a spoiler on U-tube. Anyone interested?? Doubt it...LOL

TV execs are just nuts. They already *did* this show. It was called Amazing Race: Family Edition. It was one of the worst things ever on broadcast TV.
