Keith Olbermann! Come on down! You're the next TV celebrity whose death has been falsely reported on the Internet! The MSNBC Countdown's Wikipedia page reported he had died earlier this morning, possibly due to complications from celiac disease.
I sent emails to two networks officials to confirm this jarring claim. Jeremy Gaines, MSNBC's vice president of communications, responded that he is certain the entry is a "hoax" and that he and other network officials were working to correct it. The section on Olbermann's death has since been removed from the page.

It's been just one of many death hoaxes in the wake of the wave of celebrity deaths that seems to have permeated our consciousness and national news coverage in the last week. Most notably, actor Jeff Goldblum reportedly passed away while filming a movie in New Zealand, only to announce on The Colbert Report that he did not die, and then recant his words in the very same segment. Quite frankly, I can't be sure that any of us are alive at this very moment.
Unfortunately, several other celebrity non-deaths have been severely under reported because of the non-stop coverage of Goldblum's untimely living in the national press. Famous faces like Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears, and Ellen Degeneres have all not died in the past week.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to these people and their friends and families during their time of joy.

I need Mr. Olbermann's honest opinion: Due to the economy (especially in Detroit, MI) are the Detroit Tigers franchise going to be history?

Dear Right Wing Nutters,
Like that rev. who was mentioned on Keith's show, you may not wish a free-thinker dead!! You have to get off your triple X-wearing Triple K-branded doofuses ( I am not sure how the greek would conjugate here =)) and come get some. God Bless him he takes a vacation and you blue-people loose your britches. I know that the three Stooges, Boss Limp Uh! Bill O and Becky Beck are so very un-slanted and steadfast in the righteous path to the 'golden rule'. Leave Keith alone and go get yourselves another bag of Pork Rhindes or something or go Clear the stumps out of 'W's ranch. Since you people managed to alienate Aaron McGruder, Keith is all I got left of A Righteous American Shining Path!!
