Perez Hilton says he got a black eye from The Black Eyed Peas.According to shrill gossip blogger and almost celebrity Hilton, the manager of the Black Eyed Peas planted a "boom boom pow" in Perez's puss this weekend. That roar you almost heard was grateful, repressed applause coming out of Hollywood.
A faux journalist (nee: rumor mongering hack), Hilton jumped onto the TV viewers' radar last month when he served as a judge for the Miss USA Pageant and started a war of words with Miss California over her stance in gay marriage.
Hilton is not a favorite of many stars and their publicists in Los Angeles and New York. While it's not politically correct for anyone in or out of show business to embrace public violence, there are undoubtedly showbiz pros smirking a bit when the cameras are off.
Reportedly, the Black-Eyed blow-up started when Hilton got into a hissing match with founding band member Will.i.am. During the scuffle, Hilton allegedly used a gay slur against the musician and actor -- providing irony of nuclear proportions when you consider how Hilton led the campaign to knock the crown from Miss California's head.
The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation -- who watched Hilton's march on Miss California a month ago -- now wants Hilton to apologize for his evident hate speech.

He's only bee on my radar a few months, but he's the most annoying, shrill drama queen you could care to come across, and while I dislike the Black-Eyed Peas, I also smirked a bit.
And his reaction on that video was hysterical, and not in the funny way. He barely had a scratch on him. Just a bizare man.

The only reason he got punched was because he didn't help promote the Black Eyed Peas album. And when is it OK to punch someone for blogging or saying words? Shame on the fellow bloggers who are using this story to get readers, but won't even stand up against violence for one of their own fellow Bloggers. Who will you turn to when you get beat down for a tv review?

There's no "allegedly" to it. He admits that he called wii.i.am a f*gg&t in his first statement about the event and then again in his attempt at a defense when GLAAD called him on it. And this is the same Perez Hilton who called ofr Isaiah Washington's head about the "Grey's Anatomy" incident. What a hypocrite!

I am not the one to say that violence is the way to handle things but Perez got what was coming to him.. i saw the tape of the fight and he was calling will.i.am names.. you dont call no grown man names and expect nothing to happen.. at first he was crying that it was will.i.am that hit him and now that the video of the fight came out now it was the manager.. what a drama queen..

While we're making corrections, I'm not sure what you think "née" means, but it's the French singular feminine form of "born" and refers to a birth name. The masculine form is "né".
Perez Hilton (né Mario Lavandeira) is a faux journalist (i.e., a rumor-mongering hack).

Perez cried about that tiny little scratch for 11 minutes. I don't feel bad for him. I heard his side of the story, and I have to say that he could've handled it way better. Instead of kissing ass and then going back and calling will.i.am a derogatory name in an attempt to incite him further, he should've just calmly said, "I'm sorry if I offended you but I'm not going to change my views to appease you." And then he should've walked away like a GROWN MAN. Perez needs to learn that he's not in high school anymore. He needs to grow up, stop acting like an idiot, and stop whining. He was crying the whole time about how "something like this should NEVER happen to a HUMAN BEING!" It was actually pretty funny. I'm 100 percent pro-gay rights, and I think he is a terrible representative of the gay community. My best friend is gay and he can't stand Perez. Why would he call will.i.am a gay slur when he calls people out for that stuff all the time?

'née' only means 'AKA' in the context of changed names, not job titles. It gives the real name of the person in question. There are subtly different uses for all of them that should be preserved instead of 'Modern blah blah' cop-out face saving gestures.

Full disclosure: I read Perez b/c he usually has the most recent gossip (he's no Michael K from Dlisted but hey, who is!). I think he's a tool, but an incredibly smart marketing tool. and yeah celebs do contact him when they have something to promote (see Victoria Beckham when she had that reality show). He is too over the top sometimes, and incredibly juvenile. However, if you're a celeb and have chosen to be in the spotlight like Fergie has, you have to expect some media criticism, even if it is incredibly immature like Perez.
REGARDLESS, the point of my post is that I don't really care who was right and who was wrong here. I'm just LMAO because instead of calling 911 himself, from his sidekick, he TWEETED to his followers for THEM to call 911, from his sidekick. That is so short-bus of him!
