Are you ready for America's Got Talent to take over your summer?

America's Got Talent"The biggest talent search in the history," as former America's Got Talent host Jerry Springer used to say over and over again, is beginning its fourth season on Tuesday.

Judges David Hasselhoff, Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan will return to give their two cents about the acts performed on stage in front of them. One cast change is the arrival of Nick Cannon as host. Let's hope that Nick won't read the teleprompter too much and will have better interactions with the contestants than Springer did.

Want to know more about this season's AGT? Details coming up!

From what I've gathered from previews and the show's official website, it looks like the format of the show, including the audition and elimination process, will be the same. Too bad, since the show would have benefited from having the acts, especially in the later rounds, perform by categories to ensure that a good variety of performers -- read here: less singers -- in the final episodes.

One thing is certain; we will be entertained. Based on the previews that have been airing on NBC for a few weeks now, it looks like we will once again have crazy, scary, and weird acts along with the touching stories and amazing performers who had a hard life before, such as last year's AGT winner Neal E. Boyd.

Also expect the return of past winners Neal E. Boyd and Terry Fator to perform in the later episodes and give tips and tricks to the finalists. However, don't pray too much for an appearance by season one winner Bianca Ryan, as she is not even mentioned on the "about" page of the show's website while the other two winners are... I don't understand why the show is not including her, especially since, according to her personnal website, she is doing well enough as a singer. Wouldn't they want to add her in the mix to show that their winners can have a career after AGT? Maybe Bianca doesn't want to appear? Who knows? In any case, it's unlikely we will see her this season.

However, as reported earlier this week on TVSquad, expect the AGT producers to do their best to have Susan Boyle appear on the show.

To help you plan your first weeks of summer, here is what the AGT audition schedule should be like thanks to The Futon Critic (note that I did not include the reruns and that every episode starts at 9 PM):

- Tuesday, June 23: Audition Show #1 (2 hours)
- Wednesday, June 24: Audition Show #2 (1 hour)
- Tuesday, June 30: Audition Show #3 (1 hour)
- Wednesday, July 1: Audition Show #4 (1 hour)
- Tuesday, July 7: Audition Show #5 (1 hour)
- Wednesday, July 8: Audition Show #6 (1 hour)

Stay tuned to TV Squad over the summer where I will once again bring you reviews for every episode and include polls so you can tell us who should go through.
