Remember when The Unusuals premiered? At first it looked like one of those shows that didn't get gangbuster ratings or critical acclaim, but you sensed that it would be a show ABC would get behind and renew for a second season. Well, that renewal went to Castle. But a lot of people are really going to miss this show.
What did you think of the series finale?

I actually liked the finale episode. I had them in my top twenty this week of episodes to watch and I was right. I actually trashed this show earlier because I didn't think it had enough originality and I still don't but last night's epie(episode) was pretty good. I give them props for that.

For me, it was the same thing as Cupid: I didn't watch because it was canceled. (In its defense, though, The Unusuals was a *much* better show than Cupid.)
Why do the networks think we will invest time in a show that won't be coming back in the fall? Wouldn't a rerun get better ratings?

As with Cupid I am going to miss The Unusuals. Both may not have been the most deep or thought provoking but they were enjoyable. Both shows showed some promise if kept for a bit longer. I know I'm old but I do miss the days when there weren't so many shows on that a show had to make it or break it within weeks. But then, I liked Star Trek and I didn't think they gave it a fair shot and that was back in the day. Oh well, next I'm sure they'll cancel Dollhouse. Maybe I'm just out of touch with everyone else. Thank goodness I still have Chuck to watch.

Before The Unusuals premiered, it was pitched as a cross between NYPD Blue and Barney Miller. While there was too much of the former and not enough of the latter, and the soundtrack was sometimes overpowering, the show grew on me. I'll miss it.

I'm really sad it's gone. Noah Hawley (creator) has been twittering about the possibility of another network picking it up--a cable network--but he says it's a slim chance. I'm hoping it does, and if you're a fan, spread the word!
But otherwise, I'm really sad. I wish it could have at least been given a REAL ENDING. This clearly was just where they stopped filming. It had a lot of promise. Cancelled by the fourth episode. So unfair.

I'm really, really, really bummed. I really liked The Unusuals. Time for an eleventh-hour, fifty-ninth-minute reprieve! C'mon, cable networks, get on this.

I rather enjoyed this show when I watched it. Once I learned it was getting axed, I quit. I am tired of getting invested in shows only to have them disappear. Which reminds me, when do we get to see the final episodes of Dirty Sexy Money? (another show I enjoyed)

Sometime this summer, I believe in July. In May/June ABC aired the last Pushing Daisies episodes at like 10pm on Saturdays, i believe.

I only got to see about 5 min of the first 15--not the first 5--and after that it was constant "weather center coverage" of last night's rainstorm. Apparently "news" that used to merit an occasional screen crawl now requires wall-to-wall talking heads. With snow storms they at least can constantly repeat the list of school closings, which may be useful to some people.
I will watch the episode online, because I liked the show. It wasn't a classic, but like 'Women's Murder Club' it was probably better than some of the shows ABC did choose to renew, and certainly better than shows renewed at some of the other nets.

Haven't watched the final episode yet, got it on my DVR. The Unusuals started with a bang then backed off to the point where I had decided to skip it. The last few episodes thought sucked me back in and now I'm disappointed that I won't be able to follow the wacky lives of these crazy characters as they seek to keep the streets safe for the saner people of New York

I really enjoyed this show, I don't even do procedurals much unless there's enough spark and character given to the characters on screen.
This was one of those shows, not a run of the mill csi. I was hoping this would join Ncis & bones in my "good procedural" pile of shows i watched, true shame.

Between The Unusuals and Castle, I would vote for Castle too, though I watch and enjoy both.
Castle has characters with way better chemistry than The Unusuals. Given time, perhaps it could've improved.

I LOVED Castle and the Unusuals, and was surprised and saddened to hear from TV Squad that Castle took the Unusuals spot for renewal. Noah Hawley, Creator, has been tweeting the possibility of a Cable pickup, so keep wishing!!!

As usual, it is not unusual for the suits or whatever number crunching, bean counting types to cancel a show that is unusual and interesting. Another reminder not to watch ABC, you cancel good shows such as Life on Mars and back mindless, plotless, reality shows. Back to cable with HBO and SHO and maybe even a good book.
As far as I’m concerned, you are cancelled.

I really liked this show - quirky, honest, entertaining. Better than Castle, which just tries too hard. I'm tired of investing my time in shows that are cancelled before they're even give a chance. Stupid reality shows...why? Network television is failing miserably and I'm just about done with all. For now though, I'm just done with ABC. To the others...beware.

I really liked this show. It was different and very creative. I loved the different characters. My entire family loved it! Why do networks keep showing reality shows and not a good tv show that you can enjoy after a hard day at work??? If I wanted to watch people argue and bicker over nothing, I could do that at home! haha
