Hon...these books were out way before Stephenie Meyer was old enough to write......please...if anyone was "ripped-off"....id say it was L.J.Smith....i read these books when I was 15....and I am now 36....

Dark Shadows rocks, who could top Barnabus and let's not forget Quintin!!!!!!!! I would like to think that they all can have their place, nothing wrong with a little variety. After all we all know that once you've seen one vampire you certainly have not seen them all!

well the CW bringing on this as a show is just jumping on the popularity of Twilight so it is a rip-off in that sense is what I meant :)

Alana is right I read these books in highschool and I'm 30. These were out way before Twilight and if I remember it's a love triangle thing, and Stefan has a brother named Damon. Great books if memory serves right.
