ABC will kick off its upcoming fall season in earnest Sept. 21 with three nights of Dancing With the Stars. The hit show – that continues to gain viewers no matter how much I wish it would die and stay dead -- will lead off the network's prime time schedule on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays before being reduced to two nights a week to make room for a pair new comedies. There's still no word on exactly when Lost will return, but the new mystery drama Flash Forward will bow Sept. 24 at 8 p.m., right before the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy.
The new seasons of Ugly Betty and Supernanny will debut in October with several new and renewed shows – like Scrubs, Brothers & Sisters, Eastwick and Private Practice – expected to show up on the network schedule later.

I can't wait to dig my teeth into Flash Forward. ABC screened the first act of the premiere during its Upfront presentation in May, and it pulled me right in. The acting was great, the special effects looked good, and the set-up left me wanting more. Nothing else on this schedule is a must-see for me except Cougar Town, and that's only because Scrubs' Bill Lawrence is producing. What are you looking forward to this fall on ABC? Anything? Anything at all?

With all the reality crap, it doesn't seem to have much more than the NBC lineup will have. Looks as if it might be a terrible year for television--at least with the networks. My new favorites seem to be the Summer shows: Closer, Psych, Monk :( Leverage. I have not yet seen Mad Men so I am waiting for it to start since I've heard so much good about it.

JR We're all real sorry ABC didn't check with you first on the schedule. Your post was a waste.
I'm assuming ABC must have an idea when Private Practice and Eastwick will come on? I don't understand why they couldn't have issued a date on those shows yet.
Lost is sure to bow in February and the other shows will fill in for the 2-3 sure to be cancelled shows that don't make the full season pick up. Yes i'm talking to you Shark Tank, The Middle and The Forgotten.

If "The Superstars" should go on to become if not a
bigger hit than, at least a companian to Wipeout by the
end of this Summer, I would change the title of that
show to "Celebrity Triathalon". Why? The WWE has a
weekly syndicated wrestling show under their logo which
happens to be called "WWE Superstars". Unless the
alphabet network wants a fight with Mr. McMahon, I'd
suggest ABC changes the title to the above, in order to
avoid confusion with WWE Superstars & The Superstars.
ABC has stolen the title of their own wrestling show,
and that's stooping as low as World Wildlife Federation
when they stole the company name from the wrestling
orginisation as we knew it back then, The World
Wrestling Federation. I'd hoped "The Superstars" was
a typo, and ABC would've changed the title by June 23'rd,
the season premiere. but that's not going to happen,
so maybe next summer?

Dancing With The Stars is a staple at our Bad TV Night get-togethers, so I'll most likely be watching that.
I'm hoping to give Flash Forward a look-see, assuming that either a) I have ABC back by then, or b) ABC.com runs full episodes on their website or Hulu.

Did Brothers & Sisters get canceled while I wasn't looking or is this less of a fall schedule and more of a 'premiere week' with B&S starting at a later date?

I'm excited for Grey's Anatomy, but what I'm really waiting for is Private Practice.
Any word on when it premiers?
