David Letterman made a joke the other night about Sarah Palin's daughter going to a Yankees game and being impregnated by Alex Rodriguez (video below). Now, humor of the joke aside, can you imagine if a conservative host had made a joke about one of President Obama's daughters? What do you think the media's reaction would be? I think the joke is more about Rodriguez and his alleged antics with other women, but it also incorporates Palin's daughter in a rather unfortunate way.
I think you might be going to far to call Letterman a liberal host. Sure he may lean that way a little, but he's always been good about equally offending both sides. His job is to make current topical jokes and this one was pretty good. http://www.joeonthetube.com
Letterman is an a$$. An adult in his capacity (call him a comedian if you like, I have never heard him say anything funny) should never be allowed to humiliate a child, no matter what their age. Look at his life; what a pathetic little person. The only reason people like him keep the Palin's in their conversation on a continuing basis is because they are scared of her. Regardless of what you people think of her, she has power. She was just a little too inexperienced to run for office in 2009, but she will run and win in 2012; that is if we still have a country by then.
"should never be allowed to humiliate a child, no matter what their age"
I guarantee this is the funniest thing I am going to read today. No matter what their age? Since -everyone- is a child and you're removing the age restriction, comedians can't make fun of anyone, ever.
Oh, silly Palin-supporter-- you have brightened my day with your comedy!

You're right...there's a double standard when it comes to picking on someone that the major media actually LIKES.
They would be calling for his head on a plate by now.

Are you people too young to remember this?

Last I checked, Limbaugh is still broadcasting and there's no plate with his head on it.

Right, but Limbaugh is broadcasting on Radio, not TV. Remember the slip up on ESPN? He was off in a week.

You're wrong PSThWii60. It was on his television show. Unless you know of a secret way one would hold up a picture on a radio?

There is no such thing as going to far in comedy.

Are you saying that there is an equivalence between an 18 year old who has had public interviews about her pregnancy and a couple of adolescents?

Two years ago, I would have agreed with you, but Letterman's political leanings became painfully obvious during the 2008 campaign.

P.S. Letterman's joke is no more offensive than the title on the video clip: "Letterman on Sarah Palin's Daughter."

Obama's daughters are kids and do not give interviews.
Palins daughter is a legal adult, gives interviews (about sex no less).
So you have little kids and the fact that Palins daughter, of her own volition, put herself out in the open.
Its like with the Kennedy kids, if the stay quiet and to themselves, no one says a word, when they put themselves out there they, they are open.

ROFL...scared of Palin? Please...We'd all love to see her with a more prominent role in the Republican Party. That would be icing on the cake.
