There's good news and there's bad news. You can decide what bits fall into which catergory. First of all, MTV is still on the air and pumping out new show after new show. Secondly, they've announced a new music-related project. This music-related project also happens to be another one of their reality programs. And it features the tween world's favorite Australian electropop-rock twin act The Veronicas. Well, at least it's not another Laguna Beach spin-off spin-off.
All I know about The Veronicas is that neither of the girls are actually named Veronica and whenever my teenage sister listens to them in the car, she really digs it and I really don't. The act isn't exactly huge in the States, especially outside of the teenybopper Radio Disney world, and that's what MTV's determined to catch in this "documentary-style" show. The duo wants to break out internationally and the camera crews are in on the ride.
Depending on the ladies' screen presences (and levels of intriguing cattiness), the network could have another cult hit on their hands, or they could have another Cheyenne. Yeah. "Who?" indeed.

From what we heard in Australia they only became semi-famous in the US when one of them had a topless photo "leaked" onto the Net. Last concert of theirs I went to in Australia the bulk of the crowd were over 20, so they're not really a tween group here.

Cheyenne is now a member of a country group called Gloriana and is doing real well. Also, I am 26 and have both of the Veronicas cds that have been released in the US.
