Wow, I gotta say that this was a great season finale. I wasn't really familiar with Stuckey, but what happened still shocked me (though I guessed what was going on halfway through). It was rather Bones-ian, in a way. This could turn out to be the last episode of Law and Order: SVU for Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay, since they are holding out for more money and NBC is thinking of replacing them. Of course, I don't think that's going to happen. Sure, all of the Law and Order shows have had many cast members over the years, but I'm betting that the duo will be back for another season.

Ditto!
What were they thinking with that character anyway?

i actually liked Stuckey cause he played the recent grad with little life experience role so well. i think he was meant to be annoying.
the ending of the finale seemed a bit over-dramatized though. it was so un-SVU-like... with the stabbing and the slapping. it felt a little out of place.

stuckey on stupid:the L&O franchise continues a steady decline in plot & character development.a tipping point in production values is inevitable after writers & producers play defense instead of taking creative chances.this once great show is now a lame predictable version of its early incarnation.shut down all L&O productions.

Last night's season finale was unforgettable!I was in shock all the way to the end.I mean, round of applause to Mariska, what a phenomenal actress. After watching her last night reminds me exactly why I love her so much! The way she smacked Elliott around,LOVED IT!!!That's exactly how I feel sometimes. And Noel Fisher, that lucky son-of-a-gun got to make-out with Olivia for at least 2 minutes the most so...that's a nice little present before he died, wouldn't u agree? The only bad thing about the ending was that there's not gonna be any drama going into the next season so guess we're just gonna have 2 see.Hopefully they don't replace Mariska & Christopher cause without them, this show is nothing at all!

Wow. First time I saw SVU in a few years because there was nothing else on. How far this show has fallen. When did it turn into CSI? It was horrible. The whole bit at the end where Olivia had to trick the quasi-albino guy by being angry at Stabler and making out with the guy was just too over the top to be taken seriously. If Meloni and Hargitay were smart, they would leave the show now before it gets worse.

I am actually hoping that in the fall, SVU becomes the Ice-T and Belzer Show - (1) at 9 p.m. it won't be able to be the same show anyway, and (2) Hargitay and Meloni have had 10 full seasons as the leads, and their characters are just about played out. When I watch the show, it certainly isn't because of them.

I guess I'm in the minority, I thought the season finale was terrible.
Between the laughable chasing the suspect through the thrill park ride and the not believable in the slightest final act, I though this was the jump-the-shark episode.

I thought it was pretty bad too. I just watched it tonight on DVR. I don't understand the hype in this post and the other one on Belzer.

You are correct. It was truly Bizarre. I wish they would team up Dr. Wong and Ice T.

I don't know. In one of the crossover episodes, didn't Munch discover that Lennie Briscoe had dated/slept with Gwen, causing the initial hostility between him and Lennie? That would put Gwen in New York.

My TiVo marked this episode as repeated and did not record it. With no announcements from NBC how are they expecting anyone to follow it.

I thought it was a very good episode and a far better season finale than last year's. I really hope they bring the other characters more into the forefront next season. They were doing that for a while a few seasons back with each character getting their own headlineing episodes. There needs to be much more Detective Munch! Belz is great.

I thought the ep was a great close to a weird season. Stuckey was oddly placed from the beginning ... were they planning his breakdown from the beginning, or was like Nicki & Paulo (from Lost) -- he was abruptly removed because the fans hated him? I don't remember seeing Tamara Tunie in a long time, and was a little disappointed that she didn't make an appearance in the season finale. This season's new ADA, played by Michaela McManus seems to have disappeared as well.

Is there any way to find out when the season finale for Law & Order SVU is going to be repeated as my DVR failed to tape it?
