I'm guessing that people who never liked According To Jim or understood why it remained on ABC's schedule for so many seasons think that this is an appropriate title for the series finale. Me? I never hated or loved the show. It was just "there," an innocuous family sitcom that a lot of people seemed to like. Also: Courtney Thorne-Smith is really hot.

Uh, Kimberly Williams is like a kagillion times hotter than Courtney - but yes Courtney is hot.
As to the finale, I prefered the season six finale "Jim's Birthday" as the series finale. Last nights episode felt more like a regular episode.
It was time for ATJ to end - but an 8 season run in this day and age is an accomplishment. Good luck to the cast and crew.

Did the show do a Soprano's ending with Jim popping another snack in his mouth when the rest of the family left the room? Look at the final scene. He throws the the snack up in the air, and the screen goes blank as soon as it hits his mouth. And, Brad Grey Television is the producer of both shows. Something to make you go hmmm...

People hate According to Jim, but love shows like 30 Rock, where everyone is an airhead on the show, and does their own thing. 30 Rock is great, but why can't people just enjoy a good family based sitcom. I think people are jaded in the 2000's. More and more people are leaving their home state to go off to college, then find a job in that state, and rarely see their family, forgetting what it means. They just don't get "family" comedy any more.
