Comedy Central has
renewed Important Things with Demetri Martin for a second season. If you haven't seen the show, here are some clips from the "Games" episode (every episode has a theme that dominates each sketch and joke). Martin can also be seen in Ang Lee's new film
Taking Woodstock this summer and also the film version of
Moneyball next year.

This one joke wonder gets a renewal? If he walks as a righteous man among us, then he will he forward a percentage of the contract to Steven Wright.
50% ought to do it.

Steven Wright didn't invent deadpan humor. Nor did he invent one-liners. He borrowed them from someone else who borrowed them from someone else. All this Demetri Martin bashing is about as valid as accusing Wayne Brady of plagiarizing Richard Pryor just because they're both black comedians.

Glad to hear it - we've got at least two fans looking forward to it in our household.

Thank god there is some justice in this world. I was worried when the show was replaced with Krod Mandoon that it was gone forever. This is fantastic news
