So Kris Allen beat Adam Lambert by a ton of votes last week. You knew there would be a controversy, right? This one is based around AT&T. Seems they might have pushed the results toward Allen by having their reps at parties organized by fans of Allen and teaching them how to "power text," which apparently means sending 10 or more text messages at once. Adam's album is outselling the other guy his videos are also rocking. Adam not only has the #1 selling video he has 18 of the top 40 videos. The real winner is ADAM... we knew it all along but it is nice to see the fact without A T & T and the K K K Kristian "hate vote"

No, because Kris did not deserve to be in the final at all. I could understand it if Allison or Danny were in the final two, but not Kris Allen. I have no idea how he made it that far. So he may be the winner, but he is nothing different or special.
That is my objection to Kris Allen winning. Adam will outsell and outlast him in every way. I also think Allison has a huge career ahead of her. Gokey just has to find more confidence, but his voice is wonderful.

Omigod! Are people really thinking that people who voted for Kris belong to the KKK? Sureky you know better than that. Adam is a great performer and a good singer but most of us felt that Kris was the real musician and that there is enough room in the world for both young men. I do believe that AI should have controlled voting ie; 10 votes per phone and 5 per texting. The shows producers like saying that there were this mega amount of voters but they would avoid controversy if they controlled it like Dancing With the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance and America's Got Talent. I think that the AT&T reps were just showing off a product and in no way tried to "fix" the outcome. Even Kris did not realize his true "gifts", he is hot, very sexy and that and his music won him American Idol. I love Adam, he is a very generous and nice guy and very talented. If he is gay, that is his business and the buying public does not discriminate..look at Freddy Mercury, who cared what his sexual preference was? He was a wonder of the universe.

Winning the title has proven to have as much correlation to success (e.g. Taylor Hicks and Ruben Studdard, which is to say none) as not winning the title (e.g. Daughtry and Jennifer Hudson).

It seems pretty obvious to me that the K-K-Kristian comment was NOT a reference to the Ku Klux Klan. Do people seriously not understand the pun? I agree (with many) that Kris isn't as talented as some of the other contestants this season; I thought he should have gone home when Allison did. I don't begrudge him his victory, though, and I hope he makes the best of it.
