I am not going to pay $29.95 a year to read the blog entries of Clay Aiken. So I'm glad that someone else does and can post the following quote from Aiken. Guess the American Idol runner-up isn't a fan of another runner-up, Adam Lambert.I couldn't be happier with the way AI ended this year. I only turn the show on once a season and only to see what the set looks like. This year, I happened to turn it on during the minute that Adam Lambert was singing "Ring of Fire," and, at that moment, thought my ears would bleed. Contrived, awful, and slightly frightening! I wasn't really a fan and found myself surprised whenever folks told me that they liked him.
Gawker has more. Idol fans, discuss.

I voted for Kris all the way, but Aiken should NOT judge Adam from his awful performance of "Ring of Fire." If there was one misstep that Adam had this season, it was that awful performance.

What if we judged Clay solely on his performance of "Grease"? He wouldn't be the star he is today. I love Clay, but that was a douche move.

Too bad Aiken doesn't have as much class as Lambert and Allen. Aiken sounds kind of frantic and vindictive to me. What a way to end your day in the spotlight.

Actually, if you bothered to post the entire blog, it wasn't about Adam at all. More about how AI has become a parody of itself & is no longer about finding raw, amateur talent & molding them into stars. He feels that is why Kris won over the highly pimped Adam. A backlash against the professional who the producers & judges wanted to win from Day One. He's absolutely correct in that assessment.

And yet... still a whiny little bitch.
He only tunes in once a season, and then only to see the set. What a loser. What an ungrateful, egotistical, flaming loser.
I think the bigger question in all of this isn't about AI, because anyone still watching that drivel gets what they deserve... no, the bigger question is who the hell is paying this douchebag $30/month to read his blog?
Whether he has any point is made void when he makes comments like that... wait... that would suggest I consider any comment from Clay Aiken anything but useless.
And I don't... and really... do any of you?

What a bitter man Clay is. That is just low class of him. Is he trying to ruin his career? Oh! Wait a minute ~ he never had one! He is just jealous because Adam has more talent in his little finger on his worst day, then Clay has in his whole body on his best day. Clay is just angry because Adam turned him down for a duet. Poor Clay had his heart broken.

OMG. Clay is an incredible jerk. Clay's voice is way mediocre as compared to Adam Lambert. And Clay spent years being too afraid to come out and be himself. Adam is fearless. Adam is worldclass, Clay is just a decent karaoke singer. And to insult the show that built his entire career, to brag about not watching it and acting is if it has no relevance, I'm repulsed. That show gave him everything, he's an incredibly rude person. Well I just hope with all my heart in ten years, e/o knows who Adam Lambert is and that it's Clay who???? Clay's right now a D-lister. I hope Adam becomes an A-list star. Go suck it Clay.

Besides Adam is Clay's age right. So while Clay did the show right away, Adam graduated high school and pursued professional experience trying to make it in a really tough industry; Adam's professional experience is all in theatre, not in previous recording activities. Adam also did a lot of cabaret to make a living. That is how someone who wants to be successful attempts it. Adam tried out for idol when he felt emotionally ready. Did he show the producers his impressive resume to get on the show? Probably. But it doesn't matter, he's a brilliant singer. Please make Clay disappear ASAP. I'm sure if Simon Cowell were asked who is the most talented AI contestant who didn't win the show, he'd say Adam or Jennifer Hudson but he definitely wouldn't say Clay. GO AWAY CLAY.

Smartalek, Check your facts. Simon says good things about Jennifer now but he told her during her run on AI that she wasn't good enough to be with the likes of Fantasia. I heard those very words, "not good enough!".

Clay didn't ask to have his private blog made public.
Just enjoy the success of your boyfriend Adam. He will surely have an incredible career.

Wow. Clay akien is the last one who should be bashing anybody. Adam lambert has some serious talent that boy should have won american idol. Hes one of the best singer they have had on that show and even if you didnt agree could u get any more less class and be anymore horrible then bashing the poor kid not once but several times on the internet. And by the way "Clay akien" it wasnt adam lambert who made my ears bleed. It was you. and may i also add that you ARE a runner up as well , so stop being so full of youself and get a life beside saying horrible things about a kid who actually is gonna be something some day and not have his name fade into the distance like yours did.

The person who posted the blog is Clay's stalker who should be in jail!
The entire blog is not posted and was not meant to be published anyway. Has everyone forgotten the lie last week from the National Enquirer who said Clay wanted to meet Adam? Chicago Sun Times copied that one.
Do you believe that too? How can they both be true??
All Clay said in his blog was that he wasn't a fan of Adam's and he talked about how AI was pushing Adam to win. He also said Adam was probably a very nice person.
I'm sure Adam and Kris and Danny will all do very well. Maybe even sell 600,000 of their first CD their first week. :-)

Clay has apologized to Adam for his poor choice of words.
I am sure that some were upset by my choice of words describing my opinion of a performance I heard from Adam Lambert. I hope no one actually believed that blood truly poured forth from my ears when I heard him. I obviously meant it as a colorful statement to imply that I did not enjoy what I heard. Any performer hopes that their music will appeal to all people, but no singer realistically expects it to. God knows, I am SURE there are PLENTY of people who can't stand to hear me sing either. I wouldn't dream of assuming that, and I am sure that far worse things have been said about my performances than I would even venture to type here. To me, that's fine. I don't expect unanimous, nor even majority support for my music. But, my guess is Adam doesn't either. I would not venture to make judgements on the personality or demeanor of anyone I don't know, so none of what I said in my previous blog was directed as a "slam" on Adam as a person. At the same time, I wouldn't dream of slamming him as an entertainer. He does what he does, because he enjoys it, and he obviously has many fans who enjoy it as well. If what i said in my previous blog regarding my impression of a single performance from Adam upset or offended any of his fans, I expect that the mature ones will realize that it was simply a poorly worded metaphor describing my personal tastes. The only person I would really dream of apologizing to is Adam. And the irony is, if he's smart he couldn't give a crap what I think of his Ring of Fire performance. As an entertainer, Adam knows that one person's opinion of one performance really matters a little less than zero, in the grand scheme of things. He could not have gotten on Idol (nor made it as far as he did) without an immense amount of talent. He surely doesn't need my approval to know he has a gift. At the same time, he realizes that amazing talent doesn't always equal universal appeal. (I could NEVER have the amount of skill and talent that ballet dancers have! that's talent! But, I don't particularly enjoy it!) I am sure that I will have plenty of opportunities in the coming years to hear Adam sing. I imagine he'll be around for years to come. But in the meantime, I definitely don't want to stoop to the level of so many negative freaks on the internet... so, I do apologize to Adam for my colorful (and negative) choice of words. I hope he can forgive me. I imagine he doesn't give a damn! God knows he shouldn't.
