If you haven't heard yet, last night's season finale of Without A Trace has ended up being the series finale. CBS decided to cancel the show. But did it feel like a series finale, or did it just feel like another episode because they didn't know it was ending when they filmed it? Would you have rather have seen this show renewed instead of Cold Case and Numb3rs?

Beth... the show lasted 7 seasons. I don't think this is the case of a show getting cancelled prematurely. Many shows don't even last 7 seasons. I like the show too, and hoped it wouldn't be given the boot, but you can't ask for much more than 7 solid seasons.

I definitely would have preferred WAT over Cold Case (which I also watched) and Numb3rs (that I don't watch). Sad it got canceled, it had so much good character development lately :(

I was a good show. I'll miss it.
All the pictures they showed at the end made me think that they already knew when it was filmed that it might not be returning.
Sad.

I knew that WAT was over when they tied up some loose ends. For example, Sam and Jack dissolved their relationship and she decided to be with Brian. Jack made amends to Hannah, plus Danny and Elena got married. Also, at the very end, they showed pictures of the people they had rescued throughout the series. The only characters that did not seem to have an ending were Martin and Vivian. I understand CBS reasons for canceling, but what I don't get is why some shows did not get the ax.

Without A Trace still got very good ratings. I guess they felt it was too expensive of a show. I also will miss the Unit. A very adult drama that had a very good season. Both shows do better in the ratings then many shows that were picked up by other Networks. I guess it was the expense of producing the shows that got them cancelled.

I have enjoyed Without A Trace, but it did have a long pretty successfuly run. I am puzzled about the cancellation of this show and "The Unit"(which seems to be popular, although I don't watch it) in lieu of the addition of "Medium" and an NCIS clone...

Maybe they added that footage of all the pictures at the very end.
I hope another network picks up this show. It's one of the few I really like.

Very sad to see WAT canceled. Was my favorite for 7 seasons! Watch Cold Case but prefer WAT. Won't be watching CBS at all in the Fall.

Does anyone happen to know the song that was playing during the final scene in "Undertow"?
I'm going to miss WAT. It was one of my must-watch shows.

Very disappointed CBS canceled this show. Was still in the top ratings game, and even the actors said they would take a pay cut for Season 8. I didn't like the ending. Too rushed and Sam and Jack split up. After seven years they break them up, ugh. And they couldn't even spend 2 minutes showing Danny and Elena's wedding. Pathetic. CBS, I won't be watching your new shows this fall.

I love Without a trace and Cold Case. Please lets save these two shows no matter what. The unit was pretty good too. Why get rid of shows that still have great ratings. I want to join anyone who has a Save WAT!!!!!!!!

With all the crap on tv and hundreds of cable channels with almost nothing worth watching, this is just another example of how people do not appreciate quality tv. I am so tired of reality tv, spinoffs and copycat shows. Seven years may be a decent run but why stop there, just to make room for shows that are not worth watching. I will definately be purchasing Without a Trace on dvd so I can watch again. Thank you for a quality tv show with classy, quality actors.

CBS screwed up big time, why did they have to go cancelling a good show. Won't be watching CBS anymore.
Hopefully they'll come across this thread and decide to bring back WAT because if they don't they'll be greatly dissapointed as to why their ratings are going down the shit hole. Fantastic CBS see all those disagreeing fans you f**k up big time....

Without A Trace, Cold Case: Two of the better shows on t.v. What a shame cbs had to cancel them to make room for some other shows that probably won't last the season (or won't deserve to). Won't be watching cbs any longer.
