Cougar Town? Is that really the name?
Because of TV Land's The Cougar, I'm instantly turned off from any show that has "cougar" in the title, unless it appears on The Discovery Channel or Animal Planet. ABC announced Courteney Cox-Arquette's new show Cougar Town earlier today and here's a clip. Not sure if it's a wise move to name a show after a fad slang word that will (hopefully) run out of steam by next year.

I'm the biggest Friends fan out there, and I'll probably watch at least a couple of episodes but this looks soooo lame.

Yeah it's not looking too good. However, I read that the title is a play on words because the high school mascot is a cougar and the high schools presence plays a dominant role in the town. Kind of like if FNL was called Panther Town... Still a bad idea, the fad will wear out.

Looks to me like the name is the only thing going for this show.
It will be canceled faster than you can say Jerry O'Connell.

The clip doesn't look great. Certainly not Bill Lawrence's best work.
I also have a hard time watching anything with Christa Miller Lawrence in, her face hasn't moved for years - it scares the children. I'll probably skip and watch my DVDs instead, South Park perhaps - anything with some animation in it.
