If you thought the celebrity driven feud between The Daily Show's Jon Stewart and Mad Money host Jim Cramer was over, get ready to sigh a big breath of "Oh holy crap, here we go again." That's if you completely believe the quote that the New York Post's Page Six gossip column picked out of an upcoming Time Magazine interview with the CNBC host without reading it in its proper context. So take it with a Lot's wife-sized grain of salt, and if you do automatically believe it, I've got an investment scheme that you might want to get in on.
The newspaper claims that Cramer is biding his time and that Stewart will "answer" for his vicious showdown on Stewart's show.
Cramer told Time that he tried not to turn the whole interview into a personal matter, but Stewart's style was so "vicious" that he couldn't keep from letting his bloodlust get the best of him. He knows about bloodlust. After all, he is at heart a hedge fund manager. He's required to drink a pint of blood every day before the market opens.
Cramer said he has blamed himself for not defending himself more since he was trying to "take the high road" and defend his network without breaking his face with a chair. It's a good thing Stewart got rid of that sofa.
I'll definitely give a good read to the Cramer interview in question, but either way, I hope he lets it go. Stewart himself said his bigger issue wasn't with Cramer. It was more towards the false pervasiveness of the financial news media, their lackadaisical coverage in the days before the market crash, and the subsequent sour attitude towards the taxpayers demanding help even after they fronted the failing companies in the shadow of certain doom. This whole starry-eyed pissing contest could have been avoided if Stewart had just interviewed this man like he planned to.

For the one millionth time Stewart wasn't attacking Kramer he was attacking all media as a whole saying the news has become about entertainment. Watch the interview again "its not a f@$%ing game" its like people interpreting "The Jungle" to mean we need to improve the food industry when really cleanliness of meat has little importance compared to the real meaning of the book.

Yeah, I can't say Stewart is at all to blame. Cramer overreacted to Stewart's jokes in the first place, leading him to come on the show to "defend" himself. And I know it is a comedy show, and that Stewart and Co. aren't trying to, but Jon really did the job of the actual media with that interview, and Cramer needs to get over it. Stewart needs to get these intense interviews every once and awhile. He is forced at watching the stupidity of politics, the morons that call themselves journalists, and has to try and be funny while doing it. I'm angry, so I want Jon angry too.

"This man" is Rick Santelli (thus the link to Santelli's rant). Santelli was supposed to be Jon's guest. Jon might have left it alone afterwards except Cramer picked up the gauntlet. Oops.
I'm pretty sure that's what Danny meant by his last sentence.

If anyone deserves to be torched, it's Rick Santelli for his attack on the middle class followed up by his defending AIG for using part of their bailout money as bonuses for their incompetent employees that tanked their company in the first place. He's a sociopath of the highest order. IF Jim Cramer had kept his mouth shut and not gone after Jon Stewart, his reputation wouldn't have been shread to pieces. As Stewart said, "this song ain't about you".

Stewart is sometimes too full of himself. He has to be to do his show, but often goes off too too much. Sort of what happened to Sykes at the Press Club. And Garofalo on a daily basis! And Perez Hilton as a matter of birth! And Keith Olbermann because it is in his DNA! Constipated with knowledge and diarrhea of the mouth! Life is just wonderful!
