America's Next Top Model: Who will win?

The final three of Cycle 12

It's finally that time when Tyra has three contestants left on America's Next Top Model. After weeding out the competition, we are left with Allison, Aminat, and Teyona. Like every finale, the girls will have to complete a Cover Girl commercial/photoshoot, and then the final two will have a runway walk-off.

Who has the upper hand? None of them. Each contestant is missing a piece of the model puzzle. None of the winners ever had every aspect down, bringing it all down to the decision of Tyra Banks. Let's take a look at some of the advantages, disadvantages, and outlying factors that will affect the girls in the final episode.

Allison Harvard
America's next top model contestant Allison Harvard
Advantages: Allison has been improving significantly as each week passes. She knows how to turn on the fierce in pictures. She has one of the strongest portfolios of the remaining girls.

Disadvantages: Her bashful personality and her weak walk didn't do well for her in the go-sees. If she makes the final walk, she probably won't do as well as Aminat or Teyona. The previews hinted of sexy outfits for the final walk, and Allison doesn't ooze sexy.

Outlying FactorPatterns – Some people think that since Cover Girl took over as the sponsor, there have been patterns that every three cycles the winners fall under three categories: white, black, and other. An example would be Eva (Cycle 3 – Black), Naima (Cycle 4 – Other), and Nicole (Cycle 5 – White). Since McKey won last season, the pattern would suggest that two white girls won't win back to back (Whitney is considered other because she was plus-sized).

Place: Second. This girl needs the exposure, but not the binding contracts that Tyra would have forced on the winner.

Aminat AyindeAmerica's Next Top Model contestant Aminat Ayinde

Advantages: This girl as an amazing body. She looks great walking down a runway. Aminat also has a personality which some may read as bitchy, but it's better than being quiet or meek, because it's memorable; Cover Girl likes personality.

Disadvantages: This girl can't push through a photo. She looks bored or like a deer caught in headlights in almost all of her photos. She improved in the last photoshoot, but is it too late?

Outlying Factor Judging Criteria – There have been girls that won because of their strong runway performances, while others won from a strong portfolio. If Tyra wants a girl with a lot of runway potential, she'd pick Aminat for the win. How Tyra's going to justify the weak portfolio is another story.

Place: First. I'm going out on a limb and saying Aminat wins. Call it gut instinct.

Teyona Anderson
America's Next Top Model contestant Teyona Anderson
Advantages: She's the overall package. She has a strong portfolio and an above average walk. Nigel loved her back in week two when he shot her because of how creative she was with posing and lighting.

Disadvantages: She's mentally checking out. Last week she started to cry, next week in the finale she cries. Tyra wants a girl who can handle the pressure, and if Teyona is unleashing the waterworks now, she's too unstable.

Outlying FactorRevisionist History – For some odd reason, Teyona started off as one of the strongest girls and has been called first several times. Suddenly Paulina didn't like her in the challenges, and she was only doing decently in her photoshoot. The editors may be trying to explain why Teyona loses.

Place: Third. If she does cry through her Cover Girl commercial and doesn't recover, she's going home.

In the end, I have the finale going as Aminat winning, Allison getting second, and Teyona third. What do you think? Post your comments below.
