Unlike Jack Bauer, Kiefer Sutherland doesn't throw any punches. Literally.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sutherland was in attendance at an NYC club this past Monday night when fashion designer Jack McCollough "rudely bumped" into actress Brooke Shields while she was speaking with Sutherland. After McCollough refused to apologize - wait for it - Sutherland headbutted him!
Normally, this wouldn't be that big a deal. Celebrity makes a boo-boo, money exchanges hands out of court, problem solved. However, fans of 24 may recall that during production of the FOX drama's seventh season, Sutherland was busted for drunk driving. He served 48 days in jail but it never interfered with production because the writer's strike halted it.This time, he may not be so lucky since that DUI incident put Sutherland on parole. Guess what? Headbutting someone in public may violate his parole. Season seven concludes on Monday, May 18th, but season eight begins production later this month. Might be an issue if the show's star is in jail - again. All that being said, this doesn't strike me as having that large of an impact. It's not like 24 airs in September. Costs of delaying production factored in, and I'm sure this is a huge inconvenience but I doubt it will delay the January 2010 premiere.

I'm a Sutherland fan but this dude really needs to a) lay off the booze (and you just know he had some liquor in him at the time) and b) get some anger management counseling already. He's starting to become more of a liability than an asset to FOX and company.

I love this. People would be less rude if modern chivalry was a little more violent.
Also, the phrase is "pulling your punches." That's when you pretend to hit someone full force, but pull back at the last instant to soften the blow. By following through on his threats, Sutherland was "not pulling his punches."

"24" is the best show on TV. If the guy had made an apology to Kiefer and Brooke, Kiefer wouldn't of hit him. He got what he deserved.
