Grey's Anatomy: Meredith and Derek's wedding website

Izzie works on the wedding website.Last week on Grey's Anatomy, Izzie mentioned that she created a website for Meredith and Derek's wedding. ABC has teamed up with Theknot.com to create the page.

This isn't Grey's first attempt at web interactivity (a blog from the bar, Steve the intern, and the nurses' station were created; none have been updated in a while). The website isn't miraculous with effects, it comes off as homey and very Izzie (her blog has pink text). If any fan can't wait for Thursday, I'd suggest taking a look at the site to keep the edge off. Taking a look at the website is spoiler free, so anyone who didn't watch Castle on Monday won't see the sneak preview on the website.

I do feel like there are a few incongruent pieces. Although the photos of the dresses and tuxedo are from Izzie's camera (they're realistically blurry!), the other photos are all promo pictures. How would someone get into the elevator and take a picture of Derek & Meredith kissing? I know Izzie didn't just get up and start snapping pictures. Also, it seems like Callie still has a grudge with Izzie because she doesn't show up at all. Owen must also be too busy, because he doesn't even leave a curt congratulations message. I was convinced that Izzie could guilt anyone, but we still have two days and the two could show up.

There are a lot of little things for big fans of the show to smirk at. My personal favorite is in the Seattle Grace Hospital Guest Book. Shadow Shepherd (who titles his name as such) suggests that Meredith and Derek take a long honeymoon so he can do surgeries. It's nice to see that Seattle Grace Hospital still remembers he exists.

I always appreciate television shows that attempt interactivity with the audiences and Izzie's wedding blog is a cute distraction. It definitely helps the long wait until the big 100th episode.
