While a myriad of people watched the latest Presidential address by Barack Obama, those that weren't in favor of his presidency can give themselves some comfort by tuning into AMC on Memorial Day, when the Senator from Arizona and former Presidential candidate will be hosting a marathon of famous war movies while discussing his own war experiences. This is a really good idea. I thought John McCain was a good presidential candidate (although I didn't like how he moved further to the right to appease his party when he finally got the nomination) and could have been a good president. I just hope that when he talks about his time at war he emphasizes that it's not fun or cool like the movies make it seem. That's just part of the liberal Hollywood agenda.
I'm not sure what I'm doing on Memorial Day, but I just may have to tune into AMC just to see what the Senator says. Also, Patton is a really good flick.

Please folks don't turn this into something political. This is about a veteran and a war hero hosting a marathon of classic war movies.I've already seen a comment elsewhere that had to inject politics and this has nothing to do with that nor should it be used as a judgement of him,the movies or AMC.
I also don;t know what I'll do that day but those are classic films and I may well watch some. Not for the host but for the movies.
Love to see Dirty Dozen and Kelly's Heroes added and the far too little seen Von Ryan's Express.

Liberal hollywood agenda? Really? You pretty sure that all the liberals in this country WANT to go to war? I'm not entirely sure where you've been since 1963, but's the liberals who protest, not the conservatives. Right wingers are the ones ready to go to war (war hawks) and those on the left most often want peace (hippies).
Plus, where do you get off inserting politics into this? We should all be proud of McCain's (and every other soldiers) service this Memorial day. That's it. End of story. This should just be a story about a famous veteran hosting a movie marathon but Brad's gotta put his weird twisted understanding of politics in. Awesome.

I love the films that AMC is running, and the idea is a good one for Memorial Day...I just hope they don't ruin it with too many commercial breaks.

Got it. Thought maybe he might actually be speaking from experience.

Maybe Brad finally watched some of those episodes of Battlestar Galactica that he "reviewed" earlier this year.

Exactly. Anybody who would put Sarah Palin a heartbeat away from the Presidency should *never* be allowed to run for any elected office.
