I really, really have to catch up on Hell's Kitchen. It has always been one of the few reality competition shows that I watch, and I watched the first few episodes of this season, but then for some reason I drifted away from it. I know have a ton of episodes of catch up on, so thank God for the internet.
Here's last night episode. They're down to three chefs already? Wow, I really have to catch up.
Hell's kitchen is the only reality show i actually watch. I think it has found ways to actually stay interesting every episode, unlike other reality shows.
I've only watched last season and this one... I didn't think I'd like it due to Gordon's arrogance. It's actually a great show... usually he is in the right when he's telling the contestants off.
And last nights episode had a really hilarious moment where... man, I can't even tell you who's in the final 3... ok, *SPOILER* ** ** ** ** ** ** Andrea was put in charge of the kitchen, and starting yelling at Scott, the crappy chef that works for Gordon. You wouldn't expect this show to have as many laughs as it does, but this season has been simply hilarious. I want to go back and see the first few seasons on DVD, I like it that much, and I'm the type of person who could care less about fine dining.
Hopefully this show keeps going, it's one of my few remaining favorite reality shows (American Idol took a serious hit this year... it's gotta be at the bottom of the list now because I really don't care who even wins this year).
You don't really need to...I watched all previous seasons, and this year's batch of wannabe chefs was the worst yet. I wouldn't trust any of them to run a Waffle House, let alone a four-star restaurant. I lost interest a few eps in...I found myself fast forwarding through most of the show. As much as I adore Gordon Ramsay, this season of HK has been a big "pass"!
This entire series is a joke. From day one, none of the contestants who have ever been on HK have been good enough to cook in any kitchen. Some of them have been out of cooking for years, doing construction and other jobs, and yet they're promised they will be running a restaurant for Gordon. It's a total sham. During last season, they showed the winner of the first season, and he wasn't the "executive chef" he looked like a line cook, and that's where he belonged.
The show is also not even close to a show about cooking skills. They never show the contestants doing any creative cooking, or showing any skills whatsoever.
If you want to watch a true cooking competition show, watch Top Chef. It's 10000x better than this crap.
I TOTALLY AGREE THAT HELLS KITCHEN IS A JOKE. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH COOKING. WHERE DO THEY GET THESE CHARACTERS FROM? THEY ARE CERTAINLY NOT CHEFS. IF THEY USED REAL CHEFS LIKE ON "TOP CHEF" GORDON RAMSEY WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO SCREAM & YELL AT THEM LIKE HE DOES WITH THESE IDIOTS. I SAW HIM ON A TALK SHOW & HE SAID THAT IF ANY OF THE WINNERS WERE TO BECOME HEAD CHEFS AT ANY OF HIS RESTAURANTS IT TAKES ABOUT 5 YEARS. THE SHOW IS SUCH A JOKE.
I like Paula, she's the only one I would consider capable of actually running a restaurant. Considering that most of the top LA chefs hated Danny's food, I'm quite surprised that he's still on the show.
I watch Hell's Kitchen to be entertained, that's it. I believe that over half, if not all, of the contestants were chosen for their quirks or acting ability. Very few for their actual cooking abilities. They need to find new stereo types to represent because the pattern is starting to get obvious. For example some of the more obvious ones: The lazy person, the fatty, the asshole/bitch, the gay person, the sweetie, the partier. I mean, really, do the producers have a list that they just want to fit when casting time comes around, never mind the cooking ability?

I like this show, but I lost interest in this season early on. The contestants just weren't compelling at all.

Paula is deserving enough to win, but her smoking habit shows that she is just another moron.
