This is probably the web site version of the swine flu, meaning PLEASE DON'T PANIC, but it seems that NBC's web site is calling last night's awesome Chuck season finale ("Chuck Me!" - there's your catch phrase, fans) a "series finale" (on the right, near "Next On").Of course, this could just be a lack of communication between the network and the people who maintain the web site. Maybe the person writing the headlines and posting the videos and putting up the descriptions put "series" instead of "season." But since Chuck is on the bubble and fans are really anxious to see if the show will come back for a third season, any little sign of news (good or bad) is something that gets our attention.
This certainly isn't the first time that a network's web site has called a show one thing and then it ended up doing something else. I'm sure there have been many examples where they called an episode a season finale and then ended up canceling it, so this could be the same thing only the other way around.

NBC better not cancel this show...it's truly special. The more great shows they cancel, the less likely we are to start watching another show on NBC for fear of cancelation.

Well, NBC doesn't really have anything else to offer me anyways. Time to boycott all NBC shows in revolt.

they've removed the word SERIES but if you go to NBC.com, you'll see "watch the star studded finale" while the mention of Heroes has "watch the entire season plus the *Season* Finale".

The finale episode was flat out awesome. I loved it. One of the best shows on TV right now!!! I bet NBC does cancel it. Because it is good.

it's odd how this site was declaring Sara Conner dead with the mere rumor but when an NBC site says series finale it doesn't believe it.

Pugnax, maybe because Sara Conner gets god awful ratings and is gonna get canceled beyond a shadow of a doubt. Chuck on the other hand is seated right at the top of the bubble and is much better than anything else NBC has to offer.

Watched the 'season two finale' of chuck and wow, I loved it. This little show has it all. I laughed at loud when Casey and troopers parachuted into the wedding. lol It reminded me of that great jump the shark moment on 'dynasty' when the moldavian massacre happened. lol Except on Dynasty, no one died except 2nd string characters. lol By the way, I don't think chuch jumped any sharks, but they totally rebooted the show for next season. I loved it when Chuch took care of a room full of bad guys. lol Hilarious and cool. Long live chuck!

So glad to hear they changed the text. I was worried about that tiny detail. We need more Jeffster!
I would also note something that I haven't seen brought up, surprisingly. The Terminator franchise has a freaking movie coming out this summer! Surely that'll raise franchise awareness and perhaps help its chances. But hey, if I had to save one of Terminator, Chuck, or (I'll throw this one in here, too) Dollhouse, I'd pick Chuck!

No Bob, Chuck You.

Just let this show die. Please. Put A-Team re-runs in its timeslot. Same show, different actors, more bling. Logical decision if you ask me.

The mere fact that you chose the A-Team says enough about your taste. Some people might also consider the Mona Lisa just a painting and so on. This show is meant to be entertainment and escapism at a time when it is sorely needed. You want more, and I certainly doubt it, there is the Discovery and History channels. Chuck is really great entertainment!

The season finale gave us a catchphrase:
"Chuck me!"
Love it!!
If NBC cancels this show, they would be stooping pretty low. Like, FOX low. I hope NBC realizes that they don't want to be the next FOX of network tv cancellations and keeps this [awesome] show on the air.

This show better get renewed! I ate a crappy sub in its name and everything. This was a great finale right up to the Matrix parody ending. I hope though that we see Orion as a regular next year also if it does come back so we can an intersect duo.

I really hope we can keep CHUCK - its actually gotten better this year...
I note with interest references to Sarah Conner and Dollhouse which I also watch, shows with definite concepts that they stay true to..
