The ladies of The Real Housewives of New York City are, needless to say, a colorful bunch. The Bravo franchise seems to have hit its stride, with each cast of Housewives providing their own flavor. But in comparison to Orange County and Atlanta, the ladies of New York seem especially weird. Perhaps it's apropos to their all living in a city with crazy people at every corner, but whatever the case may be, these gals are bonkers. Sure, the show may just be a well-delivered product of sneaky producers and menacing editors, but somebody's doing something right in bringing out the bizarre nuances of Jill, LuAnn, Alex, Ramona, and Bethenny - although she, of the whipsmart one-liners and catchphrases, seems to be the crowd favorite (judging by ... conversations I've had with people).
In fact, we've already seen Bethenny do an amusing take on loudmouth Jill on air. But did you know she can also do a killer Alex McCord, not to mention a hilarious send-up of Alex's husband, Simon van Kempen? It's a bonus footage bonanza on Bravo's site, in which one camera and a wig is all Bethenny needs to get the party started.
Who knows? Maybe she should consider supplementing the healthy-muffin-and-cocktails-for-anorexics-or-whatever business with stand-up comedy gigs. We'd certainly pay money to see it.

I love this chick. She amuses the hell out of me. I started watching Real Housewives after stumbling onto her on screen one weekend. I've really enjoyed watching her show how horrific the new woman is on there. Ick.

I like Bethanny very much. I have to say I agree with her as far as the "Kelly conversations" go. Kelly must have sent a "double" to the meeting at the bar and the double didn't brief the "real" Kelly before the second Jill contrived meeting at her house. Kelly...cya....REWIND.......
