Have you been clamoring for an all 3-D television network? Have you been hoping and praying that the god of your choice would listen to your prayers and deliver unto you a fully three dimensional network? Have you been unable to sleep for months on end as your very sanity teeters on the precipice of your grasp on reality?

Me neither.

Nevertheless, a publicly traded company hopes to turn a humble syndicated network into the world's first fully three-dimensional channel.

Variety reports that Signet International Holdings plans to turn AMG TV into their new creation.

It's a rather ambitious little plan. The company's principal holders plan to have their network up and running by the end of the year. Even my rich, trust fund friends who have every gadget before the world does don't have a 3-D TV yet.

Right now, their focus is more on the how and less on the what. The challenge seems to be the technological aspect of providing 3-D capabilities to an audience that's already more strapped for cash than Kenny's family at the 99 cent store. Kerner Broadcasting Corp. hopes to accomplish this with an "add-on" box for cable and satellite subscribers and an "enhancement" for high definition televisions. They haven't unveiled exactly how the technology works or feeds the 3-D goodness into your TV, but one can only hope that it involves "magic."

Of course, I'm more interested in the what. Exactly what would air on an all 3-D network? It's an interesting gimmick for a network. I can't think of one that was based on a medium of broadcasting instead of a genre. If anything, an all 3-D network would be the first network that could make Baywatch watchable.
