And yes, I am probably the 50th person to use that headline for this story. Thank you.Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello is reporting (from various sources he has skulking around the television world) that FOX is just about to cancel The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The ratings haven't been great for the sci-fi show. FOX paired it with Dollhouse on Friday nights and there has been no reason to keep the show alive for another season (ratings-wise, anyway - I'll leave it to the fans to judge the quality of the show itself). Things don't look that great for Dollhouse either, but that's another story.
Officially, the network won't announce its fall schedule for another month or so, at their annual upfront presentation. Unofficially, you probably shouldn't look for the show on that fall schedule. Now I guess we'll just have to wait for the premiere of the movie where Christian Bale yelled at everyone.

I just wrote another email to fox. Let them know that you love the show. I refuse to give up. The season finale was brilliant, and I want to see what will happen next.

We have to fight people! If we mobilize the fanbase and make it inconvenient for FOX to cancel it, it just might work!
This is the only show I follow on television, and I know it has great potential. Why would anyone expect better ratings from the outdated Nielsen system that focuses only on the US and not Canada and other countries, and in a Friday night timeslot for a show whose key demographic is under 30? The international and online fanbase needs to jump up in arms over this!
Give me SEASON 3 or give me JUDGMENT DAY!

I hear you brother (or sister). I watched TSCC in the beginning just because it was sci-fi. I was tempted to quit watching it but then it got really good. The networks seem to cancel sci-fi shows faster then you can spit. Who are they asking about these shows? I thougt Invasion was better than Lost and the one about the kid with the sea monster "friend" has a lot of potential as well. I guess it's already proven the network execs lack imagination.

Another example of programming brilliance from the network suits. Take a show that will appeal to a younger demographic and schedule it on a Friday night when said demographic is out partying. These nitwits aren't living in a DVR world with the rest of the 21st century.

I mean - this is capitalism - the shows that pull the biggest audience stay on the air. TSCC couldn't pull an audience; I admit that I followed the show and enjoyed it - but ultimately I think everyone here can agree that the show was anything but consistent. One or two episodes were down right bad. The season 2 finale was great, but once people stop following a show (which many did after the poor episodes), they don't start up again. As much as I hate to say it, it would be silly for Fox to bring back such an expensive show.

Dear Fox F$@@ Faces,
Thanks a lot for canceling a great series such as The Sarah Connor Chronicles but keeping garbage such as Americas Got Talent on the air. I don't like watching intelligently written programs and prefer watching mindless crap. Thank You so much for making that possible.
PS: I sure hope you realize im being sarcastic.
PSS: Go to hell.

I loved Terminator and I'm sad that it's cancelled. But really you can't blame Fox for this, it got a fair chance. Giving it a second season was suprising enough giving how far the ratings fell in the first season alone, putting it on Friday was a death blow I guess, but even there it was highly promoted as was Dollhouse.
I guess what I'm trying to say is don't blame Fox, blame the show's budget and all the people who watched the pilot and didn't continue following it (Like 12 million people to blame there).

I don't know why we are all surprised, Fox moves any show they don't care about to Fridays. Look at Dark Angel, that show was good had a decent fanbase during the week. Season 2 came around and they bumped it onto Fridays. Big surprised it was gone the next year. We can all hope that maybe the CW or something picks it up, it is a Warner Bros show after all. I'm sure they will can Dollhouse now too, then put some crappy reality stuff instead.

I don't remember, but was Dark Angel moved to Fridays before or after Season 2 became about nothing but the friendship between Max and the dog-man? The show became quite horrible at that point, though I really liked season 1. It was the beginning of season 2 that she met the dog-man... forget his name... but once they both got out, he was like the central character along with Max and halfway into season 2 it became nothing more than "Max and her dog-man try to save the transgenic freak of the week." Horrible. Truly horrible. I've never seen a show take such a horrible turn. Then they (apparently) killed of Lydecker, right when he got really interesting. There was little reason to keep on watching. I was relieved to see it cancelled.
What I don't understand is why Fox puts ANYTHING on friday nights - nobody watches TV then (they DVR stuff but that doesn't count towards ratings). Do we really need 8 to 10 hours of American Idol each week? Even though it gets 5 times the ratings of the next highest watched show on TV at the time, it's so lame. And how much American Idol can the assholes who watch that crap take each week? Two hours is more than enough bad "singing" each week.
The airwaves are a public good - a scarce commodity entrusted to Fox and the other networks. They owe us more than merely airing hours and hours of the cheapest show to produce that people are willing to watch en masse. Do that on cable.

I'll never watch a new show on Fox again.
That being said, I don't know who I hate more, Fox or the millions of jackasses who watch "Celebrity Cake Cooking" on friday nights instead of TSCC, giving Fox the reason to cancel the show.
I realize TSCC required some thought... some basic exercise of the brain, while Celebrity Cake Cooking requires absolutely nothing except eyes.
I welcome our SkyNet overlords.
