I am an unabashed fan of what Frank Zappa once called "Cheepnis," a certain quality shared by really good, low budget horror and sci-fi films. Which is why I was happy a couple of years ago when my cable provider picker up FEARnet, which gave me cheepnis on demand. And it's also why I'm glad I don't have Time Warner or Bright House Cable, who recently dropped the network, leaving their subscribers without the ability to watch both Warlock films on impulse, or Near Dark, or Idle Hands. Our colleagues over at Cinematical have a good overview of the story (and a link to the FEARnet page showing Night of the Creeps). There's also a page on FEARnet with a phone number for the network, which will lead you to operators who will help connect you with your cable provider to demand (or ask politely, as Cinematical's Scott Weinberg suggests) that they reinstate FEARnet.
Now, there is also a Facebook group asking for FEARnet back, which is just shy of one thousand members as I write this. If you're still not convinced you need FEARnet, take a look at the list of upcoming movies on their petition page - Army of Darkness, Darkman (the good one - so good it's on the list twice), Christine, Child's Play, Resident Evil, Phantasm, and Snoop Dogg's Hood of Horrors.
Or we can all go down to the local Time Warner office, lock arms, and sing along with Frank - "Can y'all see? The little strings on the giant spider/The zipper from the Black Lagoon? The vents by the tanks where the bubbles go up/And the flaps on the side of the moon?"

Hey thanks for the support, Nick specifically and TV Squad in general.
And there are three WARLOCK flicks, not two. ;)

Who has Time Warner Cable?!
In my opinion, Fearnet is not a site or network I want to succeed. Keep in mind that they do not respond to email, and their online video player is horribly bug-ridden.
I say let Netflix have all of the streaming video content. Sign it over, and everyone wins.

I agree with MCW. Who does Fearnet think they are speaking for all "horror fans". And I'm beginning to really dislike this Scott Weinberg. he obviously works for Fearnet and he has some real gaul in acting like he cares about horror. Every comment I readf about him reads like it's written by some marketing dufus at Fearnet. I really hope Fearnet dies off. I'm so tired of waiting for them to do right by us horror fans. Now I just wish they would be dropped from the planet. And Nick Zaino, for shame. Sticking together with a greedy corporate horror blood sucker, instead of sticking up for horror and its fans. And comparing Fearnet to Zappa is like comparing My Mother The Car to The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. It's ludicrous.

Joe really seams to have something against free horror for some reason. I think you're a horrible post troll. You should just come out and defend time warner rather than bash fearnet. So, it wasn't the greatest, but it wasn't the worst for sure. What are your other options? Do you work for time warner?
