No more waiting for the next season of Project Runway. After all of the legal disputes, NBC Universal, The Weinstein Company, and Lifetime have finally resolved their disputes. Part of the deal involves having five years of Project Runway on Lifetime. That could mean between five and ten seasons (two seasons a year? That may be much), depending on how much Lifetime wants to milk their new ratings cow.Lifetime has released a statement saying that the show will debut in the summer. If we follow the trend of last season, I'm assuming that I will start sometime in July and end in October.
I have a feeling that there probably won't be much change in format, other than the competition taking place in Los Angeles instead of New York City. Any dramatic changes will probably be made for season seven, since it's going into production Post-Bravo. If you recall the finale was taped back in February. The three designers were shrouded in mystery and the only things we could see were their clothes. One designer had an affinity for black leather. We'll see if we get another Stella this season.

I'm SEW EXCITED! Though I must say, don't think I'm gonna watch Models of the Runway. Those girls are always kinda bland and never punctual. Two things I can't stand!

I am so excited that Bravo and Lifetime worked out their differences and the new season of Project Runway is scheduled to begin soon. I am terribly disappointed it jumped from Bravo to Lifetime - I hope it doesn't "water down" the comments and interaction between the contestants. I love this show and am happy to hear that Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia are also going to rejoin the show. I wish it were still being filmed in New York - the fashion capital of the U.S. but I'm still very excited to see that it will beginning soon!
