Did you see "The Wall" last night on ER?I don't know if this so-called "legendary" wall has ever been mentioned on the show before (if it has, I apologize), but I thought it was a rather out of the blue piece of symbolism for the show to have in its final episodes. Neela said that she had heard rumors about the wall but wasn't sure if they were true or just a myth, which I don't really understand because we're talking about a wall in a lower floor room with name tags on it, not the mythical land of Narnia.
All the big names were there from the quick shots I could see: Greene, Ross, Lewis, Gallant, Lockhart, Pratt. Was Carter's tag up there or did he take it off the wall when he came back this season?
I'm surprised they had Mellucci up there, considering he was fired and left by saying some really nasty things to Dr. Weaver. Romano was a bastard but a good doctor and died in a particularly tragic way so it was good to see his name tag on the wall.
Anyone missing?

The wall was introduced during the episode when Abby left. Carter doesn't have his nametag up there because he says removing it from the locker and not returning it is stealing/defacing hospital property, or something along those lines.

I'll try to see if I can find the shots from Abbey's episode, as it was, IIRC, a much clearer shot of the names.

I personally loved 'the wall' part of last night's episode! I could have sworn though that Ive seen it years before, even before Abby's episode, but cant remember exactly when. That's why I thought it was a fitting tribute.
I also loved that Neela ended up with Ray last night. About damn time!!!

I just checked the ER website and cast list, and a couple obvious missing names are: Ray Barnett, and Jeannie Boulet. Thanks for the photo Dorv! It helped.
Sassy: No, it was not the last episode. I think there are only 2 left.

The episode where Jeanie left showed her taking her nametag off herself and putting it in her pocket before she walked out the door, keeping it for herself.

Well David Morgenstern is the most notable one missing, but the revolving door heads of the ER from a few seasons ago Skye Wexler and Kevin Morreti are missing too. Not that those two warrant being there but Morgenstern does.

Here we go. Dr. Taglieri. (carols old flame)
Dr. Coburn (played Carters boss, CCH pounder) Dr. Hicks. Dr. Gant (killed himself) Dr. Bobeck (busy phillips) Dr. Crenshaw. Dr. Celmente (Leguizamo)
Those were all charechters i remember well. But I would think the wall maens more with less people on it? But would be more awe inspiring if it was actual cast characters on it.

Michael Ironside and Allen Alda were both in this show as well. And played doctors. One was a hired gun i think and the other a visiting doctor?

I think the wall is suppose to be for the Doctors who really made a difference, the ones who made County home, not for all the doctors who ever worked in the ER. Like what Dubenko said to Neela about her coming back one day because County was a part of her now. It seems to be an honor to put your name up.
I also wonder who started the wall, have they ever said?

Crenshaw is still on staff as far as we know and Weaver was there on the bottom but everyone else seems to be there.
i think she should have put hers next to Gallant, sure she ended up with Ray but she married Michael

I did notice that the nametags didn't seem to be in the same place as they were before... At least I think so, specifically Gallant's.

Wasn't L.Woodward the nurse Lydia? Hathaway's up there. So what about the other nurses and the desk administrators?

Actually Mare Winningham was a doctor at County for one season. But I dont remember her character's name. I was wondering if the name tags were specifically for ER personnel? If you had a locker in the ER lounge, then your name tag went on the wall once you were gone.

The Mare Winningham character was not a real doctor, she was a crazy person impersonating a doctor.
