If you've read the comments section of our review of last night's episode of Lost, you'll see that a lot of viewers noticed a mysterious figure lurking in the shadows in the scene where Sun and Frank meet Christian. Now there are a couple of freeze frames that give a closer look.
I have to admit that I didn't see this when I watched the episode live, though I wasn't looking for it. Was it available to everyone or just those watching it in HD? The pic above doesn't really reveal anything. It just looks kinda like a blob. I didn't record the episode so I can't check it. I tried to go to ABC's site but I can't access it right now for some reason. Sigh.
Here's another look at the scene. Still can't tell too much. What do you think? Was it Claire? Charlotte? Someone else? Some filming mistake we weren't supposed to see?

I just checked it out on HD, you can definitely see a woman in the background that moves during the scene between christian and sun. She looks like she has dark red hair, so maybe it is charlotte.

You can rule out something that we weren't supposed to see. Nothing happens on this show without there being a reason for it. The hair does look red, so Charlotte is a possibility.

No way that's a crew member. That's way too far in front of the camera for it to not be intentional. Any crew member knows when the camera is rolling, you get on the other side. Only rare exceptions are made and usually they go to good lengths to ensure a crew who is on the other side of the camera is well-hidden. This has got to be intentional or its just not a person.

There's definitely someone there. Shoulder-length hair, body facing to the right a bit. Head turns toward camera, then away. Short-sleeved shirt (definitely not Lapidus).
I disagree with the red hair though. I'm not saying it's NOT red hair; I'm just saying it could be blonde. The red tint could easily be a result of the lighting conditions. Given the lack of any other logical answers, I'm betting it's Claire.

Last night we all said it was Claire. So I'll just stick with that, but I wouldn't rule out production crew. I thought the last time we saw Claire was when she was with Christian, so it makes sense.

I saw this during the live-airing. I definitely think it was a crew member that was in frame that shouldn't have been there. Of course now that it has been seen, they'll add it to the story.

1) I do not believe it is a crew member, Lost producers don't make mistakes. Every little detail counts, clearly if you think it is a crew member, you don't know Lost! :)
2) I believe it is Claire, since she was last seen eerily rendezvousing with Christian. Also, if you notice, the figure seems to be holding something. I don't know if it seems like a pregnant belly, but what if it is a small child? Aaron, maybe? We don't know what happened to Aaron, the last we heard of him Kate was all sorts of sketchy. What if he is dead and reunited with his mom, Claire?

Right before Christian shows them the picture the door opens and after that you see the figure. So Claire entered the room while invisible and sat down behind them. Her and Christian exist in another dimension where they can appear and disappear at will. Just a theory.
