Hospital Trips with the Stars

Steve WozniakMove over Jewel and Nancy O'Dell, it seems as though there are some more bodies going to the Dancing with the Stars infirmary. This time there are three men with some reported injuries. This season is really shaping out to be all about the drama and nothing about the dancing. Find out who got injured this time after the jump.

Gilles Marini is suffering from a separated shoulder after checking an X-Ray. They gave him a cortisone shot, so he's recovering. We've had arm troubles before (Cristián de la Fuente) and they've just had to readjust to not put too much pressure on the injured arm.

Steve-O is battling problems with his back, where nerves are being pinched. Clearly a lifestyle of slamming oneself into walls and other hard objects has finally caught up to him. Steve-O claims to have a very intense Salsa routine; the masochist in me is hoping he drops Lacey live on television.

Last on the list is Steve Wozniak. Photos of him have been floating around where he is wearing a cast on his left leg. He apparently is still going to continue, but rest his foot when he can. I hope the Woz doesn't do anything too serious. I give him kudos for losing 30 pounds and I love that he's passionate about competing.

Either this show actually has a curse or the contestants want to do good so badly that they push themselves too far. The professionals should know when to stop their partner. I appreciate the three men for continuing on, but it's only going to get worse and next week is only week two. On an odd bright side, the three injuries will give both Holly Madison and Melissa Rycroft a little bit of buffer space if all three quit or drop out in the next three weeks. On Monday the contestants will be performing either the Quickstep or the Salsa. Steve-O has the Salsa, Gilles and Steve have the Quickstep.
