OK, OK, SPOILER ALERT!
There are still a bunch of episodes left in this third season of Heroes, but producers and writers are already working on the fourth season (the show was renewed by NBC for another season earlier this week). There isn't much being disclosed about specific plots or what is going to happen to specific characters or what characters are going to make it out alive from this third season (though I would assume The Hunter will be gone). But there is one big clue as to who won't be the major character that is going to die at the end of this season, and we'll discuss that a bit after the jump.
We know from this little tidbit from Michael Ausiello that Claire is not the character that dies this season. In fact, she's going to be a big player again next season. Producer Fuller says that we "will have a strong idea by the end of this season's final batch of episodes where Claire is going and what is going to be happening with the Petrellis." This will be sad news for Claire-haters, but her character seems pretty important to the show (save the cheerleader, blah, blah, blah).
Not sure what Fuller means by "happening with the Petrellis." Perhaps this is a clue that both Nathan and Peter make it. Several sites are reporting that the Heroes character that gets killed off is Tracy, though it isn't clear if this means that Ali Larter is leaving the show or if "Tracy" is getting killed off and another twin and/or personality will show up.

After having two versions of Ali Larter's characters, both of whom have misgivings about their powers - and separately approach Mohinder about removing them, I have a feeling that "Barbara" will have no powers. She will do the exact opposite, beg Mohinder to give her abilities.
Just a wild guess.

Bryan Fuller (and Ali Larter) have already stated that Tracy's going to have a big story arc in season four as the action moves to Washington, so it's unlikely to be Tracy.
Matt and Mohinder are easily the most dispensable, although since they've been spending so much time building up Matt, my suspicion's are that it's him - not many people would care if Mohinder dies so why bother killing him and making a big deal out of it? Plus there's always Greg Grunberg's Twitter.

good theory but Barbara will totally have a mental power and brainwash claire in to putting a knife through her head or something that will meant that she dies or becomes more her future self. fugitives has been awesome so far! check out my villain, she's till getting into the heroes world and she's not sure about whether she should be a villain forever or try out being a hero or be "morally grey" but she cool: www.villainsview.blogspot.com www.thevaultofheroes.blogspot.com

I am begging you Sylar, find a way to kill Claire!!!
And when is Peter going to get ALL his powers back? This season has been somewhat boring with the story line and the Claire overkill. Peter and Hiro are the coolest characters by a mile.

Angela could die at the end of the season for all we know? Shes a Petrelli is she not
And I like Claire, but they need to evolve her chacracter a bit, less running to Daddy and away from danger, more being the badass girl we see at the start of season 3, but with a twist of how she gets like that
i dunno, some of the characters seem to be slowly evolving.
Sylar Rocks and is hot!! GO Zach!!
