Would I date a homicidal robot? Do I find a one-eyed cartoon mutant attractive? Is kissing a sexy demon worth losing years of my life?

Those were some of the questions I had to ask myself while writing this list.

There are many non-human women on TV – demons, vampires, machines and Real Housewives – but not all of them are hot. And what makes someone hot? I side with Stanley from The Office who once said that a "hot" woman is healthy, sexy, pretty and strong. I'd also say that brains, maturity and passion should be in the mix -- even if that passion is for killing monsters or blowing up evil cyborgs. Click through for a list of the hottest robots, aliens and "abnormals" currently on TV.

marlena reaper10. Marlena (Cindy Sampson), Reaper
She's a succubus demon worth losing years of your life to kiss, according to Sock, Reaper's resident soul-catching uber slacker. Marlena showed up in the last episode of the first season and left a big impression on Sock and some loyal fans of the show. She's a hot chick who's into slackers, and a makeout session with Marlena will boost your physical strength and your outlook on life for hours. She's like an addictive upper in hot demon form. I hope she shows up in season two, which kicked off this month.

magnus sanctuary9. Dr. Helen Magnus (Amanda Tapping), Sanctuary
A super intelligent, immortal doctor who kicks evil ass and looks good in leather? She might be 157 years old, but Dr. Helen Magnus is definitely hot. I'm sure most Sanctuary fans would agree. Some might not consider Dr. Magnus a "non-human," but a normal person juiced up by vampire blood. But once you inject yourself with enough vampire blood to become indestructible and gain other super-human abilities, you're no longer human, you're an "abnormal."

Dr. Magnus is an admirable leader and she's committed to her cause – helping and protecting the misunderstood abnormals of the world. She's tough, mysterious and she's played by Amanda Tapping, already a geek sex symbol thanks to her years on the Stargate franchise.

leela futurama8. Leela (Katey Sagal), Futurama
The mutant Planet Express ship captain is always in demand, despite only having a single supersized eye. Men of many species have tried to win Leela's heart, but she's a tough, capable girl with high standards (well, except when it comes to Fry). Leela and Futurama live on in a series of direct-to-DVD movies. They remind us that without Leela's wit, grace and Arcturan Kung-fu fighting skills, the Planet Express crew probably wouldn't have survived the first season. Even the Robot Devil knows not to mess with her. (Yeah, she's a cartoon, but that's cool with me if it's cool with you.)

bsg d'anna7. D'Anna/Number 3 (Lucy Lawless), Battlestar Galactica
Rebels are sexy, and D'Anna is no exception. BSG's most curios Cylon got her entire line "boxed" for railing against the Cylon credo and then was resurrected to help fight a civil war. She's icy and tough, but she's also passionate and well spoken. We left her on Earth a few episodes ago, but something tells me we haven't seen the last of D'Anna. She's the last of her line, and that puts her in a very unique position in the Cylon hierarchy.

supernatural ruby6. Ruby (Genevieve Cortese), Supernatural
The Winchester boys' hot demon gal pal can kick ass just as well as the boys can. Her witch background and mysterious demon-killing knife have helped save the day more than once, but she's also caused a rift in the boys' relationship. The role was originally played by Katie Cassidy and is now played by Wildfire alum Cortese. What say you fans, who is the hotter Ruby?

ashley sanctuary5. Ashley Magnus (Emilie Ullerup), Sanctuary
Helen Magnus' abnormal daughter has a killer instinct – which she inherited from her pops, John Druitt, aka Jack the Ripper – that comes in handy when she's hunting monsters in tight leather outfits. Ashley has a lot in common with Buffy Summers. She's strong and fearless in battle, but she hides a vulnerable side from her friends and family. She's also a weapons expert and kind of a techie. I'm looking forward to seeing her recent turn to the dark side play out when season two premieres.

kara smallville4. Kara (Laura Vandervoort), Smallvlle
Supergirl, in any incarnation, is always hot. Smallville's Kara is smokin' hot. She possesses all of Clark Kent's Kryptonian powers, she knows how to fly, and she also has a "bad girl" streak. Unlike Clark, she doesn't usually have a problem with using her superpowers in public, but it's not like she needs them to be hot. Kara has charmed Lex Luthor, Jimmy Olsen and countless others without using any of her abilities.

After she busted out of the Phantom Zone a few months ago, some fans were calling for a Kara spinoff. That probably won't happen, but with any luck we'll see Kara return to Smallville for season nine.

bsg six3. Caprica Six (Tricia Helfer), Battlestar Galactica
Sure, she killed a baby and paved the way for the devastating Cylon attacks on humanity, but she's still damn hot. We've seen more copies of this stunning blonde Cylon than any other, and I'm not complaining. The sexy Caprica is my favorite version of the Six, and not just because she's beautiful. She's been through hell and back, and we've seen her evolve from a manipulative murderer to an earnest architect of change for her race. Saul Tigh, you're sure makin' a lot of us jealous.

athena bsg2. Athena/Boomer/Number Eight (Grace Park), Battlestar Galactica
The most compassionate Cylon model is arguably the hottest. Boomer and the rest of the Eights are lovely to look at, but it's Athena I want to focus on here. She's clearly the strongest and most trustworthy Eight out there. She's saved the fleet several times and her evolution has been a joy to watch. Much like Caprica Six, she's been through a lot, but she's come out stronger and is now one of the Galactica's most valuable – and hottest – crewmembers.

cameron terminator1. Cameron (Summer Glau), Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Who knew Skynet could make machines this hot? Cameron has eclipsed Arnold and Robert Patrick's T-1000 to become my favorite Terminator of all time. It's loads of fun watching this tiny fembot beat up baddies three times her size and fire guns with barrels longer than her torso. Plus, she's as quirky as she is deadly. Cameron's one-liners are a great counterpoint to all the drama in the Connor house. Let's just hope TSCC will give her something to do this season other than, well, nothing.

She's been stuck in the background for the last few episodes, but Glau and show creator Josh Friedman have promised more guns, more fights and more chip malfunctions for Cameron. Now, if they could only play Guns N Roses' "You Could Be Mine" over one of her action scenes, then this would be the best show ever.
