Believe it or not, the image to the right does not come from Sci Fi Channel or Lost. It doesn't take place in a spaceship nor time machine, and the screaming woman is neither under Cylon attack or enduring the brain-rattle of a jump through the time/space continuum.In fact, her name is Kathreya. "Kat" - as she is better known - was a contestant the ninth season of the Big Brother UK, and she's throwing a tantrum because a faceless, omnipresent authority ("Big Brother," who speaks to her through a black hole planted in the wall) refuses to give her cookies.
Still a ubiquitous, beloved reality show in England (whose American sibling continues to air, although its place in the cultural zeitgeist doesn't even compare), Big Brother manages to serve up trash at its finest. But Kathreya, a 30-year-old massage therapist from Thailand, proved herself a particularly delightful character, thanks not only to her obsession with cookies (she claims to consistently carry around a cookie jar), but also in claiming a fear of feet and referring to her body as "a jacket potato." Brilliant.

And, perhaps better, is Kat performing her own self-penned R&B jam, "Cookie Love," while...wait for it...baking cookies. (What did you expect?)

It was fellow contestant Darnell, the black albino American, who penned 'Cookie Love.'
It is also really sad that I know that.
