Yet another ER veteran is coming back to the show for a last-season guest spot.Alex Kingston will reprise her role as Dr. Elizabeth Corday in the January 15 episode. She'll come back when Neela has to interview with her for an attending job. If you remember, Corday was married to Dr. Mark Greene but inevitably had to leave the show after he died and there really wasn't much for her to do (those episodes where she dated others just didn't ring true).
I never really warmed to Dr. Corday. There were times when I really liked the character, her headstrong ways and her accent, but there were other times when I really hated her.
Wow, the finale of ER is March 12. It has already been announced that Noah Wyle and Eriq LaSalle are coming back to the show later this season (Anthony Edwards, Laura Innes, Paul McCrane, and Abraham Benrubi have already made appearances this season). But if George Clooney is going to come back, he'd better hurry up.

She had me when she pronounced "duodenum" in the "British" way, with emphasis on the "de" and not the "duo".

I have to agree. I just never liked the Corday character, although I have liked Kingston in other roles -- mostly recently in a great episode of Doctor Who. I especially hated her relationship with Mark Greene. Kingston and Anthony Edwards never seemed to have any chemistry together. Kingston/Corday was better matched with Peter Benton and Robert Romano. Regardless, it will be interesting to see the former ER British chick getting together with the current ER British chick.

If Clooney is coming back, it'll probably be a location shoot with minimal crew to keep it secret, much like they did when he came back for Julianna Marguilles exit. They need her to come back too.
BUt yeah, everyone flat out denied he was coming back for that but lo and behold he was there. I think he'll make it, with twins in tow...

True. I remember Clooney's appearance on that episode. I thought it was funny that he was wearing wardrobe that was so close to what he wore in A Perfect Storm. He probably just walked over from one soundstage to the other for that 2 minute scene!
