All Debbie wants for Festivus

TV Squad's Festivus logoReally, it's almost too much to ask for anything more, when this year has brought so much good TV. You may think I jest here, but if you saw the Dexter season three finale, if you curled up with House a time or two, or have caught even just one episode of The Mentalist, you know what I'm talking about.

When the rest of the shows-a-stinkin' take up the airwaves, there's always TV on DVD. So, really, is it asking too much to want more from TV for Festivus this year? Speaking as a completely selfish TV watcher, I think not. So with wild abandon, here are my Festivus wishes:

  • a stellar episode of How I Met Your Mother, as opposed to the sloppy, lackluster episodes that have made up most of this season
  • good ratings for Dollhouse in 2009, despite its Friday timeslot
  • that Leverage will continue to meet the extremely high bar that it has set for itself with the first two (nearly perfect) episodes
  • that Reaper raises the bar for itself just a little bit in season two. This can be a spectacular show if it reaches just a little; I'm looking forward to it.
  • that Grey's Anatomy can find itself again, and show us in the current season all of the things that made it great in season one
  • speaking of Grey's, I want Denny to go away now. It was fun at first, but now that Alex has confessed his love for Izzie, they just need to be together. No more sex with dead guys please.
Now that's not too much to ask, is it?
