In the latest of a long line of celebrities to appear on 30 Rock this season, you can add CNN host Larry King. He joins a parade of celebrities with the same accomplishment including Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Aniston, Steve Martin and some of the cast of Night Court.Granted, he's a celebrity that everyone has heard of, but isn't Larry King getting a little past his prime? It seems the the celebrity guest-stars are getting more obscure as the season progresses. By the end of the season, it'll be Kathy Griffin and the guy who used to play "Screech". Tina Fey herself is now a bigger star than most of the guests.
The storyline involves Larry interviewing Tracy Morgan's character on his show. It would be funny if he then proposes marriage to Liz Lemon.
Fortunately, the writing on 30 Rock is so top-notch that I think they could have Carrot Top as a guest and still make it a good show. Bring it on, Larry!

I'm still miffed that they couldn't even get Richard Moll from Night Court. I remember exactly nothing about Night Court but that dude, so I was disappointed he wasn't there. It was funny though that the judge wanted to show off his close up magic :)
Yep, Larry King is pretty much the last person I'd want to see on 30 Rock. I guess this is the end of 30 Rock as we know it :(

Carrot Top is juicing.
I mean look at him, he looks like Barry Bonds.
He would fits perfectly on 30 Rock. I think there's nothing they couldn't do on that show as long as they are willing to act the way they want them to. I mean look at Jerry Seinfeld, he has his own type of funny and fit perfectly into the show. As long as the guests say what the writers write for them and behave in that silly 30 Rock way, you can get anyone on 30 Rock.
To be honest I think you can even compare 30 Rock and Larry King Live. People can go there and simply shine in the light of the show. Anyone can be redeemed on Larry King and anyone can be funny on 30 Rock. As long as they adhere to the rules of the show.

Did you see "The Top" on Reno 911! a while back? His cameo on there was good, as an irate guest at a hotel.
I know he's the lowest person in show-business, but he's still better than Larry King.

The question is: can 30 Rock survive without the draw of big name celebrities?

This is a joke right? Throw an old fossil on the show and what? I watch the show because it is simply the funniest thing on, but these guests are getting more and more lame by the second.

At this point, Tina Fey is the one who helped keep the crazy lady out of the White House. She could ask for about anything in Hollywood right now and might well get it.
