Can two cable shows about the advertising world co-exist? Of course they can. With 12 Law and Orders, 9 CSIs, and 57 reality shows where sexy people live in a house, I think we can have two shows about advertising.Trust Me is the new name of the TNT series Truth in Advertising. It stars Eric McCormack (Will and Grace) as Mason and Tom Cavanagh (Ed) as Connor, best friends who also run an ad agency. Unlike Mad Men, it's set in the present day. Also unlike Mad Men, it's set in Chicago. See? Two big differences right there.
From the previews I've seen, it looks like it leans a bit more towards comedy than the AMC show does, the way the two best friends battle with each other. I'm really looking forward to it, Ed was a great show (that I'm still waiting for on DVD), and Will and Grace was...well, the first four seasons were really good. This show is from the same producers who do The Closer and Nip/Tuck.
Also in the cast are Monica Potter from Boston Legal and Sarah Clarke from 24. The show debuts on January 9.

Hell, i'm still waiting for Ed to be syndicated. Come on it's four seasons, why aren't they making money off of all of those episodes?
Maybe Hulu could get them.

This looks like it could be good but am I right that this will be on Friday nights? yuck. Couldn't they find a better night to debut a new show?
