Do you know what a dilithium crystal is? Ever use the term "cosplay" when discussing your weekend plans? Own more than two non-Star Wars action figures? If you answered "Affirmative!" to any of these questions, then you'll be staying home this Friday night, because you're a nerd. It's cool. That means you'll be able to catch this week's ep of Stargate Atlantis, with guest stars Dave Foley, Bill Nye the Science Guy and astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. All nerds, by the way.Kids in the Hall vet Foley plays a professional rival of Dr. McKay (David Hewlett), who invents an anti-global warming device that, instead of ending global warming, almost kills everybody at a swanky party, including Nye and DeGrasse Tyson. Not intrigued? Gateworld says there might be a scene with Jewel Staite stuck in a giant freezer. I know. It's a good show.
Seriously, I love Stargate Atlantis. It's one of those shows that repackages age-old sci-fi cliches but manages to deliver a lot more than just campy fun. It's got great action, humor, and the space battles look surprisingly good in high-def. Plus, David Hewlett is one of my favorite genre actors, and the spotlight will be on him this Friday.
This episode, titled "Brainstorm," looks to be one of the goofier entries for this final season. And if there's one thing the Stargate franchise gets right, it's goofy. So, take a break from "Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe" on Friday and tune in to Sci Fi Channel at 9 p.m. (8 p.m. Central). Make sure to check out this preview clip first.

Really looking forward to this episode. Sniff! Only four new episodes left to this series after 'Brain Storm.'
Then we have to wait until July for Stargate: Universe.
I feel Stargate withdrawal coming on...
Must.
Watch.
DVDs!

I fit your criteria to a T, but will not be watching Brainstorm, as much as I would love to see Bill Nye and geek-out. This is entirely due to the fact that this episode is a love letter to the McKay and Keller romance, of which I am truly sickened by. They ruin a great concept with such a gawdawful ship like this, I am heartbroken.
But I won't be watching.

I'm really gonna miss how they all commune around dinner tables on unknown planets. You just don't get that on shows these days. There was always time for food with these guys. Always.

Glad to see TVSquad paying attention to SGA again...no reviews for awhile...and this being it's final season and all...well, I guess I too am going thru withdrawal.
Yeah, it's going to be a McKay/Keller love thing which I don't mind at all...but it will also be nice to see the genius pool alive and bubbling this Friday night. Can't wait!
