Not the TV character from several years back. Actress Hilary Duff. She has just signed a one year deal with NBC to star in a new series.Duff has been concentrating on movies and music since Lizzie McGuire ended in 2004 (the show lasted four years, but it was actually only two seasons, plus a big screen movie). According to Variety, Duff was going to be in a series for CBS in 2004, but it wasn't picked up.
As part of the deal, Duff is going to guest star in several NBC shows, as well, maybe as a tune up for starring in her own show and promotion for herself and the show. I wonder how they'll pick which shows she'll guest star in? After the jump, some suggestions.
- Heroes: Duff can star as Style, a young woman who has the ability to create beautiful hairdos in just seconds. "Save the hairstylist, save the world."
- ER: In a special flashback episode, we'll see that she was the helicopter pilot who crashed into County, killing Dr. Romano. She also slept with Dr. Ross at some point (this is how Clooney can guest on the show one more time, too).
- 30 Rock: She can play herself as a guest star on TGS with Tracy Jordan. She'll butt heads with Liz, Jenna will be jealous of her, and Jack will sleep with her.
- My Own Worst Enemy: Duff can guest star as...oh, never mind.

My Own Worst Enemy had tremendous potential. It had already improved greatly from the pilot, and who know where it might have gone. Thankfully, NBC has confirmed they will air the last five episodes, so we'll get to see how it finishes its short life.
